Rules-

1. Please be literate. From what I've seen of this wonderful forum this won't be a problem, but I'm a bit of a grammar nazi.

2. Use OOC or some form thereof.

3. Don't godmod other players or NPCs. This extends to auto-killing and auto-hitting.

4. Don't kill other players unless you have their permission. I'd like to know via PM if you plan this.

5. This is a fairly G/PG site, so keep things tame. I'll allow romance as long as it doesn't get too, er, in-depth.

Setting-

Centuries after the cataclysm that was the Great Ruin, order has been restored to the world. Technology has elevated to a new high, allowing for crossbows and firearms. Relations between the races are peaceful, and sea trade is a major focus. Exploration and piracy abound, and under all the bustling streets and thriving wilderness lays the remnants of the world that was all those years ago...

You will be starting in the quiet Mainland port town of Haven during the christening of the Golden Fury, a top-of-the-line galleon.

Plot-

Nothing worth noting, yet. I've got something in mind, but we'll just kick things off for now.

Renaldo was heading to the new boat that the mainland was celebrating over. It's just a boat, they don't need a big ceremony, he thought.

[Fiver]

It is midday in the sleepy port town of Haven. The markets are alive with people as they make their way through the streets, and the sun shines calmly past the clouds. It is a peaceful day, one of many of these parts, and the people are quite happy to keep with the mood.

Until you get to the docks, that is.

There you'll find a roaring crowd of folks, all gathered around a beautiful galleon. The Golden Fury, it's named. Quite odd for a galleon to be christened in this age of steamboats and such, but here this one stands: Its pure sails gleaming in the light. The villagers have come to oggle at it, no doubt, and their collective noise is drowning out the captain's speech. Already some passengers are climbing aboard: A priestly rabbit and a devilishly handsome fox. The fox stops at the top of the way, beckoning to a small group of sailors to carry a number of large crates aboard. And here we find you amongst this crowded street, whether you're trying to board the ship, get a gander at it, or simply want to make your way out of here.

Nabi was in the crowd,cheering.

Xaoz is stuck in the crowd trying to get because he is claustrophobic 0.0

Jade was standing on the edge of the crowd, having been dragged here by her friends that had disappeared soemwhere in the crowd leaving her stranded and uncomfortable on the outskirts.

Desiree kicks people's shin to get the view of the galleon. She also hits them with a violin case.

The rabbit walks over to the edge of the ship, setting down his bag and peering out into the sea. He seems pensive, as usual. The fox, after having his cargo set down on the deck, sits on top of one and watches the crowd, a charming smirk on his face.

Meanwhile, the captain silences the crowd with a wave of his hands. "And now, we have three spots left on this ship for its maiden voyage to Angel Island! Who wants them!?" The crowd roars in response.

Renaldo didn't have much trouble getting to the front. A panda in royal army armor doesn't ask for respect, he commands it. So they moved out of his way. And even though retired he still had his contacts in the army.

Desiree finally shoves her way through the crowd and feasted her eyes on the galleon.

[Xaozaddiction]

xaoz moves to the front of the crowed and starts to examine the galleon.

[Crazy]

Resting in the distant Inn, Angaku was watching from the window, but he decided to get a closer look. He got up from his seat and walked outside to take a peek out the door, he was surprised he was able to get up. Since the crazy party at the Inn...as he exited the front door he was knocked up the street by about fifty people stampeding to see it.

Its just a boat, god, Angaku thought and pulled out a cigarette to clear the area and get a good look of the boat, but he didn't feel like smoking so he put it back away.

"I would like a ticket," said the panda.

Nabi handed the guy his ticket and boarded.

"I demand a ticket," he said.

[Lovelight]

Desiree asked for a ticket and went on board.

[Poohbomber]

Buys a ticket, reluctantly, and heads on to the ship.

[Xaozaddiction]

xaoz yells out "I WANT ON!!!" he gets lucky and gets the last ticket to go on the galleon.

[Lovelight]

Desiree looks out into the vast seas, and feels faint from the beauty.

[Xaozaddiction]

Xaoz, after he barley made it on the boat thought, "Wonder why this ship is so good? maybe i will get a good view of the sea from the deck..."

[Lovelight]

The doll-looking child sees a man walking on the deck. (Xaoz)

She tilts the brim of her top hat, and greets him with a smile.

[Xaozaddiction]

"Hello little lady" xaoz says to the child

[Lovelight]

She looks away, slightly giggling. Desiree looked up at him, remembering her manners.

"How do you do, sir? My name is Desiree. I am...7 years...old..." she stuttered the last part.

Nabi walked up to them."Hello."

"hello desiree, i am xaoz, and im 22" he said to the little girl with a smile on his face "Where are your parents at, they must be worried about you?"

"I didn't think a little kid could come on this trip.It could be dangerous."

[Lovelight]

She nodded to Nabi in acknowledgement.

"Parents..." she pondered.

"What's that? Do you mean like Mommy and Daddy?"

[Xaozaddiction]

"yes, where is mommy and daddy, they are probably looking for you"

"and hello sir"

"Hello."Nabi said to the man.

[Poohbomber]

Walks up to them all. "Hello, who might you all be?" he said with an Asain accent.

[Lovelight]

"My mom got...uh... a stranger said murdered I don't know what that is though, but I think it means that she's gone for awhile."

She paused to think about her father.

"He is in the..the...army. He said that he will be back."

She looks up at the Asian person.

"I am Desiree. Nice to meet you. What is your name?"

Nabi looked down."Desiree,your mom's not coming back."

[Lovelight]

She stood there and blinked at him.

"Why not, sir?"

''She was killed.''

[Lovelight]

She killed at him again.

"Killed?"

((adding more b.c it feels like I'm spamming))

"Whatcha mean by that sir?"

"Well,if the stranger said she was murdered,she's not alive any more."

[Lovelight]

Her voice quivered slightly.

"So I can't see her anymore?"

"But," she continued, "I carved a doll of her yesterday."

She opened up her violin case and revealed a realistic-looking mannequin that was in pieces.

"She is gone from this world."

Ron wanted to get on the ship, but the tickets were sold out. He fell sick a week later. After that, the doctors gave him the a sicking medicine that would damage his lugs slowly on purpose, to get his dad's money. When he died three years later, the doctors sliced his body open and took his organs to sell it for more money.

((Since there are to many people, I can't join, anyway, Ron has to die somehow))

"Tch, she's noooot," she denied. "I can't see her anymore, but she's still in this world. I'm sure of it."

[Crazy]

Angaku pulled out his cigarette and went into an alleyway to smoke. A strange man in a trench-coat walked up to him and handed him a ticket.

"From the king..." He said and disappeared around the corner...

"Wha?" Angaku said and ran to board the ship before it departed. He then saw a commotion of people on the ship and walked to see what was going on, in the commotion he saw a little girl. "What's going on over here?" He asked and put his cigarette out with his thumb and stuck it in his pocket. Angaku never could waste a cigarette...

"My name is Renaldo," he answered.

[Xaozaddiction]

"Hey man, dont get her upset, she is just a kid" He wispered to the man

"Well, little lady, i think you some one to watch over you, this world is a very nasty place. how i about i do it?"

[Lovelight]

"Nice to meet you, Mr Renaldo."

"Someone to watch over me?" she repeated his question.

"My mommy always told me to not talk to strangers," she replied, forgetting that she talked to quite a few ever since she went unsupervised.

"I think it's ok for you to look after me, until my dad gets back," she looked down, "if he gets back."

"I'll get lotsa candy, right?"

[Poohbomber]

Walks over to the railing, and leans on it. He looks out into the ocean.

[Xaozaddiction]

"Sure, lots of candies, and ill make sure i keep you save till your daddy gets back"

[kittenlazars go mew mew]

"Im a little suspicious about these 'candies'"Nabi said.

[Xaozaddiction]

"Man, im not a kid napper, im just helping out a child in need."

[kittenlazars go mew mew]

"I know,I know,just havin some fun.I wonder when the boat's gonna leave."

[Xaozaddiction]

"he he, i knew that.... and hopefully soon."

[Crazy]

Angaku got a little infuriated, but noticed the kid so he just dropped it. Why the hell did the king invite me on this stupid boat, Angaku thought and walked to the edge of the boat near the man, but surprisingly didn't pull a cigarette out like he normally does when he is relaxing (or trying to).

[Lovelight]

"Yaaaay!! Candy!!!" she jumped up and down in excitement, "Thanks sir!"
She gave him a quick hug and noticed the solitude man watching over the ocean.

She looked down and noticed the cigarette. Remembering what her mother said about smoking....and remembering what her father said, she decided to approach this person.

"Hey, you sir!" she yelled, "My mom said smoking is bad! And my dad said that you should experience everything in this world!"

She paused on how to approach her question.

"My mom said littering is bad! But my dad said that there's no...'lao' (law) on the ocean! I wonder what my new daddy says..."

"So...umm.... Hello Mister! What's your name? Why do you smoke and litter?" she rambled with a wild grin.

[Poohbomber]

Looks at the commotion the kid is causing, and then sighs then starts looking at the ocean again.

[Xaozaddiction]

"Hey, desiree, the man can smoke if he wants to, even if most people dont want him to, including me. how about we go down bellow and try to find some candy."

[Poohbomber]

"Careful kid," he said, "Never trust strangers."

[Lovelight]

"They can smoke when they want to?" her eyes grew big, "he's so cool! I wish I had that kind of freedom."

Desiree nodded at Renaldo. "Does that mean I can't trust you either? Mr Xaoz, will there really be candy down there? I never heard of candy being anywhere outside a city."

[Poohbomber]

"No, you can trust me if you want," he said.

[Crazy]

Angaku noticed the little girl, but continued looking out onto the ocean and ignoring everyone. He didn't feel like talking, he just wanted relax and see where this voyage would take him, besides he wasn't going to awnser to a little girl on why he smoked. After all she was annoying...

After a while he decided to go ask where his cabin was, so he went to go find someone of importance on this boat and began walking to find anyone that was a crew member.

[Xaozaddiction]

"Hmm, i actual dont know if there is any. I'll go try and find some. why dont you stay with this big man wile i try i find you some"

"Hey man, im not a kid napper, im just trying to help out this little girl. she lost both her parents. so could you watch her for a wile?" he whispered to he guy accusing him for trying to kid nap.

[Poohbomber]

"Who me?" he said. "If you're asking me, sure."

[Xaozaddiction]

"Thank you, and her name is desiree." xaoz told the man with thanks wile he ran to go and try and find some candies :3

[Poohbomber]

Still looking over the ocean, Renaldo asks the kid, "So, why are you on this boat?"

[Crazy]

Angaku wandered around on the ship for a while but ended up back where he was, with that little girl and those people. He stopped and wondered how he got back here in the first place, but gave up and leaned up against the rail again where he was. Although he leaned facing everyone.

[Lovelight]

"I am on this boat becaaaaaaaaaaause..." she pondered for a moment, trying to think of the real reason why she was here.

"I'm looking for my dad. He's a...a...nasal (naval) officer. And he likes to snipping (sniping)," she paused, "...or something."

"Why are you here? Mr Renaldo?"

[Poohbomber]

"I decided it was a good way to get into another adventure," he said. "I only wish I didn't have to leave the military just to adventure."

Nabi was in the Dining room.

[Lovelight]

"You were in the military too?" she asked, "Do you know someone named... Yun Rice? Or a nurse named Ave Rice?"

[Poohbomber]

"No," he said, "Were they your parents?"

[Lovelight]

"Yep. They were both in the military, but they left the war. I heard that they were supposed to be 'eceecooted' (executed)."

"Wonder what that means.."

[Poohbomber]

"Uh," he said. They were those two soldiers that I made the execution warrent for, they deserted under my command, he thought, worry showing on his face. "No I haven't heard of them," he lied.

[Riida]

Riuk walks into port."Hi."

[Lovelight]

Desiree pouted.

"I hope Daddy comes back soon. I have to show him a new mommy I'm making," she looked down at her black shoes, "Well, why are you here sir?"

[Xaozaddiction]

Xaoz came back to the desiree and the man with some candy in his hand. "Here you go desiree, some candy. but i got the last of it so there is no more. sorry. have youve been haveing fun with this big panda?"

((you are a panda right pooh?))

[Lovelight]

"Yaaaays!" she cheered, grabbing the candy from her new-dad's hands, "Thanks, daddy!"

"I am having fun! Can we keep him?!" she glittered, "My mommy let me keeps other dolls at home!"

[Xaozaddiction]

"Yeah we can keep him" Xaoz said wile smiling at the panda. he thought of the idea of being this girls father.... and how he has no idea how to care for children. all he knew was they like candy alot.

[Lovelight]

"Yaaaaaay," she jumped, "I really like you, new daddy."

"I wanna show you my new toy! Do you wanna look at it?"

[Xaozaddiction]

"Sure, desiree ^.^"

[Lovelight]

"Let's go in the cabin. I want to keep it as a secret for now!"

[Xaozaddiction]

"Uhh.... okay?"

[Lovelight]

Thus they go to the cabin, and Desiree poured out ALL the mannequin pieces on the table.

She held up the arm in particular.

"You see, if you press on her palm, a bullet will come out of her finger. Like a finger gun! Do you wanna help me? I'm still trying to find out how the shoulder is going to withstand the recoil..."

[Xaozaddiction]

"Uhh.... This is very cool desiree" Xaoz was amazed by what this little girl knew and wondered if the toy would actually work.

[Lovelight]

"Also," she added, "she as miniature rockets shooting from her knee."

"Still the recoil is the problem, the material for the mannequin's ok, but I only have 4 rockets right now. I stole it from old daddy," she whispered, "Don't tell him, ok?"

[Xaozaddiction]

"ill make sure i wont" Xaoz whispered back. He wondered still how a 7 year old could make this.

[Lovelight]

"I'm still planning to install a knife on her left hand," she smiled, "but I don't know what material to use..."

"What do you think, Daddy?"

[Xaozaddiction]

"Well, i dont know. i dont use knives or guns to fight. i use my fist. but i think you should use a steel alloyed of some sort."

[Lovelight]

"Steel alloy..." she muttered to herself. She knew that getting such material meant a lot of money, so she considered leeching off her new-father.

"Thanks, Daddy!" she smiled, as she put all her items in her violin case.

"So what brings you onto this ship?"

[Poohbomber]

"What else is in that case?" Renaldo asked. Pointing at the violin case.

[Lovelight]

"Anything but a violin," she laughed.

"I have a..a...photo of my parents in the army!" she waved the picture in his face. It was a black and white photo of her parents and a certain panda in the background.

[Poohbomber]

Renaldo recognized himself in the photo, the only difference from now and then was the way the pandas fur was styled. Right now it was slightly matted, but in the photo it was sleek and combed down.

[Xaozaddiction]

((wait im confused, how did renaldo get into the room?))

"I just got lucky and won a ticket to get on and felt like coming. no other reason then that."

[Riida]

Desiree smiled at Xaoz and Renaldo, apparently happy that they are appearing to be getting along.

"Hmmm...." Desiree stares at the panda as if she wanted something.
"Do you want to be my daddy too?" She grinned wildly.

[Poohbomber]

"It wouldn't be right to have two fathers," he said looking away.

[Lovelight]

"Why not?" she tugged at the panda's fur.

[Poohbomber]

"Well, if you want me to," he said shrugging.

[Lovelight]

"Yaaayyy!!!" She jumped "Will you get me candy too? I would like 10 lolipops pwease!"

[Poohbomber]

"Uh," he said. "I'm not the kind that carries candy where ever I go. Sorry."

[Lovelight]

When Desiree heard that, her sparkly eyes turned dim. It looked as if she was about to cry.

"GIMMIE CANDY YOU BIG FATTIE! I mean daddy."

[Poohbomber]

He knelt down by Desiree. He said this, "Look kid, if you think I'm going to be soft on you, you are wrong," he continued, "I have seen things that you would never want to see, and I had to learn to ignore my feelings of disgust, so I could get my job done." He stood up and looked away.

[Lovelight]

Desiree felt a little frustrated, but understood what he said. She'd been spoiled her whole life, and suddenly lost everything but her talent for carving mannequins and building weapons. The whole time, she ignored her burdens and loss. In the back of her mind, she accepted her mother's death, but was still certain that her father's alive somewhere.

"I guess so, daddy number 2," she looked down a little gloom.

[Poohbomber]

"Call me Renaldo," he said.

[Lovelight]

"Ok Renaldo!" She smiled. "You'll buy me candy along the way though, right?"

[Poohbomber]

"Yes," he said.
