Spore (The game, not the deadly kind)

Anyone else play spore? Now that they've updated it to allow asymmetric creatures, I've been playing it a lot again, so we should share our creations. My user name is ChaosFire (there may be a space, I'm not entirely sure.)

I'll probably get galactic adventures in a few months also, so perhaps if enough people on here play, we could have some sort of community created bunni mission, or something.

I heard that spore sucked, so I didn't buy it XD also my old flatmate bought it and even though he had all of the system requirements it did not run on his comp... so that was a bit of a turnoff as well. I think I would enjoy the game (I sorta like games like that) but I will probs buy it when I have nothing better to do, maybe during the holidays (its second week into uni and I'm already falling behind in work DX I get too distracted :P) If I get it at some point I'll let you know.

spore was supposed to be like 50x better then it is, they randomly felt like changing the game for some reason.

I've played Spore when it came out, and had fun forming a small group of online friends around it. But it quickly grew stale after a couple months. True, the creatures are different, but in reality, there are only three possible ways to go in the game. Once explored them all, I didn't find enough variety to keep me playing.

It's probably more fun for creatures like me anyway since I'm half artist.

Yep, those are the ones. They're the only three choices present throughout the game - they're just are labeled differently in different stages.

I agree that the artistic choices are pretty much unlimited, which makes Spore a good, simplified 3D editor. ;)

Three choices in each stage, but that only affects which of the nine classes you get in the space phase, there are still tons of different ways to play. Ever play a creature without eyes? It really does affect what you can see, and if you add different kinds of antenna, you can change the color of the screen (If you don't have eyes, it won't work if you already do.)

Oh yeah,I once removed the eyes from my beast XD it was weird.

I've done two creatures without eyes, and I also mean by playing from cell to space without eyes. If you are going to do this, I highly recommend wings.

Wow, I usually play spore for a few hours after class, so this is the first time I've played it at night in the complete dark, and the atmosphere is amazing as you venture through black holes and binary systems in the loneliness of space.
If you've never played spore in the dark, you really need to.

It's a great game. Every play the really old game simEarth? Well, it's like that + the sims + sim city + awesomeness, all topped with cheese (if you like cheese, otherwise it's topped with whatever you like.)

SPORE is awesome, it's fun to ally with the Grox and just demolish EVERYONE! Personally i think they could have and should have split the game into different parts and different games it would be much cooler (even though more expensive). They could have from Cell stage to living in water 1 game. Then you could have the choice to live underwater or live on land (or half and half) as a creature in the next game. 3rd game is going through tribal and barbarian lifestyles and evolving until you have a civilization. 4th game is evolving through civilization, slightly expanding into space until the final 5th game where you establish galactic rule.
