But the landlord said since it's night , they get discount .
The landlord called the worker to give those visitors $5 back.
The worker had $2 secretly , and gave them $3 back.

Let's see....Chaoz put 3 coins on a lever of the scale each time?
I've heard this before, but I forgot the answer.

I know this one =D

You break the coins into 3 groups of 3 Coins (Groups A, B, C (so the coins are Aa, Ab, Ac, Ba, Bb, Bc, Ca, Cb, Cc))

You then weigh Groups A,B
(This will result in three outcomes, 1,2,3)
1: A side is lighter
- In this case you break group A up and weigh Aa, Ab. If one of them is lighter, you have your answer. If not, its Ac (last coin in the group)

2: B side is lighter
- Same as above case, weigh Ba, Bb. If one of them is lighter, you have your answer. If not, its Bc (last coin in the group)

3: Neither side is Lighter
- Then the fake coin must be in group C, so you weigh Ca, Cb. If one of them is lighter, you have your answer. If not, its Cc (last coin in the group)

Hopefully that makes sense =D

Can you pull the carpet out from under the cookies, and then walk over and grab them? or failing that, just lift the carpet up and cause the cookies to slide off, then grab them all

I'm guessing on this one with the thief and the bridge.

You said cars over 4M 5 cm cannot pass. The thief was driving a truck. I am guessing trucks can bypass the decree of the bridge.

Inflate the tires until the truck reaches a cm less and then have the thief drive though. D<

MOD QUIZ: C-Yes, it was simply admitted. They might have done their job, but did that person do it right?

Fun Fact: I think there are only, in fact, 3 moderators. ^^

actually, it`s the 5th mod. there was no mention of if it was male or female. the fifth gave it away when saying "I don`t know the GUY who did it."

There is no missing one dollar. The 'missing' dollar is the result of combining two different scenarios.

You can look at it in two ways (for example)
1)
The three friends each paid $9 ($27 in total) and then got refunded $1 each (bringing it to 30)

2)
The landlord made $25, since he returned $3 to the friends and the other $2 was stolen by the worker (totaling 30)

The error of the missing dollar occurs, for example, if we take part of situations 1 and than part of number 2. Since these situations look at the way the money is divided differently, we cannot combine these two situations without invoking a logical inconsistency, which makes it appear that a dollar has gone missing
