Huge overreaction considering Australia also has a tsunami alert... one already hit Tasmania and did nothing... what a let down because no one likes Tasmania.

Anyway I did some research to see how valid this thread was and tsunamis are apparently 'sweeping the Pacific' from the massive earthquake in Chile, and all countries around the Pacific region, even Australia on the other side of the world are on tsunami alert, and we have been warned to 'stay off beaches' ??? Wow that's some awesome tsunami action right there, just stay off the beach and you'll be sweet.

-looks out window to a huge wall of water- well goodbye world...

not...

I mean I understand your apathy but sometimes it's best not to make it known...

But yeah, I think you'll be fine. Best of luck and all that nonsense. :babybunni:

Just keep it to yourself if it's kinda rude.
That's why I didn't say anything about someone dying when they didn't and stuff.

So, since I never follow the news (If it's important, I hear about it.) what DID happen?

8.8 Earthquake in Chile, the epicentre was just near their second largest city. Earthquake caused some tsunamis. All countries in the Pacific, including those on the Pacific rim like Australia issued tsunami warnings. Nobody experienced a large tsunami, at best there were just a few .8 - 1m waves on the beaches and people were warned to stay away from the beaches because of strong currents, large waves and flooding...
