So if I'm getting this right, please correct me if I'm wrong, these are little...... informative paragraphs that describe a being. But what I don't get is it an animal or a fun way to describe guests or member?

They're sort of a way of describing a member while pretending that that member is an animal. They basically give a teensy bit of information in a way that you can almost hear David Attenborough (or similar) saying it. If you just bear with me, I'll try and find some more...
