I have a suggestion for a new sub-forum.
I was thinking about it today and I figured since many members insist on posting updates of their lives everyday, what about we have a sub forum specifically for this - Forum diaries. It could be like a sub forum in junkyardia or whatever.
How it would work is, everybody can make a single diary thread where they can post updates of their lives and if other people really want to read it they can. Of course there would be rules and the posts would add nil to your post count.
Anyway some rules would be that threads would be no reply threads, that is the original poster would be the only one posting in them (like a diary), so no one else could reply in it, (if anyone wanted to talk about what is written in them they can do so on chat).
Of course nothing that breaks the rules of the forum:
no swearing
no intimate details of your sex life
no putting others down
etc.
And obviously, don't for the love of god, put down any personal details like where you live!
Well anyway basically the point of it would be so people could tell their life stories without others having to read them if they so chose not to. Also it would allow people to post things such as 'I'm not going to be here for a while', 'I've returned' or whatever.
It would be like a public diary blog thing where you could post as little or as much as you want, and you don't have to have one. It would just make things a little cleaner around here I think, and it would mean us mods wouldn't have to read about your lives that we don't particularly care much about. Anyway that is my suggestion, lol, it's not a very good one though, but anyway...
