This is an attempted explanation. The website VBulletin has a "forum template" sort of thing. Then the site creator (admin) edits the template to make the forum they want. What draco is saying is that the image limit is something set in all VBulletin templates, and mods/admins can't change it.

Uh... it's complicated.
We start in September. In October/November we have a week off, known as 'Half Term'. Then in December we leave for two weeks, coming back in January. There's another Half Term in February. Then we have a two week break roughly surrounding the easter weekend, and another Half Term in May. We leave for the summer Mid-July, and have 6 weeks off.

This is me explaining some of the books he has written.

He used to be an adult fiction writer, and then he started this series called "39 Clues" (I think that's what it is called.) and he found out he really liked Kid's Fiction. So he started the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series. The first book is called The Lightning Thief. Then he started a series called the "Kane Chronicles", the first book is called The Red Pyramid. He also started "The Heroes of Olympus" series, which first book is called The Lost Hero. The Percy Jackson series is completly finished, I believe there are 5 or 6 books. The Kane Chronicles has the first 2 books out and a 3rd on the way. And the 2nd book in the Hero series JUST came out.

The Percy Jackson series, is the story of an average teenage boy, who loses his mom and finds a camp where he is accepted, because they believe is a demigod. A demigod is a person who has one god parent and one mortal parent. Percy finds out he is the son of Poseidon the god of the sea. And being a demigod by one of the Big Three, Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades, he is very influential and powerful. Then the rest of the series is his adventure. All of this is based in modern day Usa. So a little bit of backround. So basically this is a Greek Mythology with a modern day twist. The Greek gods never died, even when Rome or other civilizations took over, they just moved west with civilization. And they had children all the way along. Thus Demigods.

Now, the Kane Chronicles, is the same basic idea, except it is a story of Eygptian Mythology, except in this one, the Egyptian gods don't have children, the just (Not possess), but comes into a person's spirit. But they only enter those who are of strong egyptian decent, people who are decendents of pharoahs and such. So a brother and sister find out that their dad is actually a egyptian magician and that he was trying to realise the gods into himself and it goes bad. His two kids are entered by two of the strongest gods, Horus, and Isis. Then they basically save the world, from the evil somebody, I forgot his name.

And then The Lost heroes is kinda of a playoff of Percy Jackson. Three friends are attacked by a storm spirit and then they are saved by a satyr who are guardian of demigods before they get to the camp. The three friends get to camp and are claimed by the godly parents. One by Hephaestus, one by Aphrodite, and one by Zeus. And then there is something about a major prophecy that these three are supposed to fulfill and then they go on their quest.


SO there you go. Those are the three series, that I have read by him. And I really like his writing style, because teenagers can really relate to it. He writes from the viewpoint of the main characters and I personally really like it. In order from my favorite to least favorite. (1) The Heroes of Olympus (But you have to read Percy Jackson before that to understand it.), (2) The Kane Chronicles, and (3) Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Don't get me wrong, I still like Percy, I just like the others better. Wow, that was kinda LONG!! xD

For me:

Geography, usually just studying maps. He does this taking notes thing were he just writes down the important stuff and we copy. The rest of the time we study for map tests.

Algebra I, I usually finish all the problems before class gets out. She gives an explanation of what we are doing, does a few examples, then gives us the assignment.

Bible I, this is a little different. Our teacher assigns one assignment for the whole week, and that is to read a section in the Bible, and then answer the few questions he gives us on a worksheet. The rest of the week in class, we just take notes on all he talks about.

Physical Science, I usually have a reading and Comprehension Check/Section Review to do. In this class, our teacher, talks about what we read yesterday, and then goes over what we are going to read today. Somedays we do labs.

Study Skills, in this I usually just have a kinda long reading and an Activity or paragraph to read or write. This is probably the most basic class, she tells us some of what we will read, sometimes gives us a pop quiz from yesterday, and then has us read and do an Activity in the book.

English I, I don't usually have homework in this. Our teacher in this usually explains what we are going to do, then a few examples, and then we do the rest.

And that is all my classes, besides Band, Choir, and Study Hall.

This is me first saying that the classes we have are very different given that we're both the same age. Very few of my subjects are the same as the ones you're describing, and I've never even heard of a couple of the lessons you mentioned!

I'll have a look in my day planner (I don't know my timetable by heart yet) and give you a list in the spoiler.

Maths: We get a worksheet on whatever topic we're doing in class. Usually pretty easy, except for that we got an entire booklet this week.
PSHE: We never get homework (HW) in this.
Spanish: Usually revision on new vocabulary.
Geography: An essay on whatever we're studying at the time. Unfortunately our teacher was away on a trip last week, so she gave us double this week.
Biology: A worksheet, a couple of questions photocopied from an old test or two.
English: We have to write a page analysing a quote from Macbeth in preparation for our test on it next week. I got some of that for this week.
Art: Draw something. Simple enough.
Resistant Materials: You only get HW in this if you're really behind in the coursework.
Chemistry: Whatever the teacher feels like setting us, but it's usually easy.
Physics: We don't normally get homework in this, but Thursday we got a booklet.
IT: We don't get HW.
PE: Same as IT ^^

This is me asking you to explain what a few of those classes are. This is me also comparing/contrasting your classes to mine.

I'll put mine first, yours second.

Geography * Geography: Probably mostly the same thing, except you are probably starting with Great Britain, well I'm starting with the Us.

Algebra I * Maths: Probably mostly the same here, except you are probably doing maths, that are closer to Algebra II or Geometry. Our school is a little different than most schools and does Pre-Algebra in 9th year/8th grade were as most schools do Pre-Algebra 8th year/7th grade.

Bible I * : You probably go to a public school, so you wouldn't have this.

Physical Science * Biology/Physics/Chemistry: Phsical Science is basically a mixture of all of these together, so it isn't quite as detailed.

Study Skills*: This is, to put is simply, learning how to study.

English I * English: Probably the same.

* Spanish: I understand this, but we don't have foreign languages available to Freshman.

* PSHE: What is this?

* Art: I also know this, but we don't have Art at our school. Sadly.... I wish we did.

* Resistant Materials: What is this?

* IT: What is this?

* PE: I am assuming this is Physical Education, which is also not available to Freshman. If isn't, then "What is This?".

PSHE: Stands for Physical, Social and Health Education. Careers, Sex ed., and a whole load of other stuff comes under this subject.

ResMat (resistant materials): Basically woodwork, but a bit of plastics and metal too.

IT: Stands for Information Technology, meaning various computery stuff. Very boring.

PHSE: Basically like a health class. We won't have this class this year.

ResMat: Basically Industrial Trades. We had something like this called "Intro to I.A. (Industrial Arts)" We built rockets, bridges, worked with electricity, and built robots.

IT: Basically Computers. We have this kind of class next Semester/Last Half of school year.

This is me wondering what your schedule is for school, if that's not to private.

7:55am: School start. 1st Hour
9:55am: 3rd Hour
10:55am: 4th Hour
11:50-12:30: Lunch
12:40pm: Anchor (Choir/Band)
1:40pm: 5th Hour

And our school does this weird thing called a rolling schedule.

First a little vocab: Period=Class, Hour=Time of day.

So on Monday(We only have a half day.):

Lunch, 1st(Period), 2nd(P), 3rd, 4th. End.

Tuesday:

5th, 6th, 7th, 1st, Lunch, Anchor, 2nd, 3rd.

Wednesday:

4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, Lunch, Anchor, 1st, 2nd.

Ect. Ect. So each day we start with a different class. And after lunch, from Tues-Fri we have Anchor(Choir/Band.) It is called that, because it is the only class that stays at the same hour every day. It is kinda confusing, but you start to understand it when you run it every week. xD

12:40-1:25 Lunch
1:30-2:20 Period 5.

For whatever reason we have a full five minutes to get to Period 5 after lunch. I really question my school's motives sometimes.
