As you all know i was sick for about a week a while back. Well now i might have a Cyst on my hand. If it is i will probably need surgery which would mean less internet time and less drawing time. But the reason for this thread is to talk about various medical problems you have or had.

I have sort of low blood pressure tendency, which make me unable to do sport even just running or if I force myself working too hard, it will drop.

What I most concern now is my eye. My right eye have muscle problem since born and so it easily 'broken'. Then things I like to do all involve looking things nearby (reading book, playing computer) which of course degenerate this eye. Now my right eye is minus 11 and cylindric. If I'm drawing too much in front of computer, it will goes blurry and I can't do anything than rest it. Glad I'm not counter strike addict anymore ;) .

I (from now on, unless I saw otherwise, "I" will refer to my human form) am allergic to every single plant, pollen, mold, and animal in existence. Also dust mites, which are of course everywhere. Luckily I'm pretty much immune now...or maybe I'm just clean? Whatever...

I don't remember the last time I was sick with anything including a simple flu. If you want medical problems you're better off asking the rest of my family:

my brother had aplastic anemia for 2 years and had to have a bone marrow transplant to fix it (if you don't know what aplastic anemia is, it is the same thing as leukemia except the bone marrow fails randomly rather than because of cancer)

My mum had her appendix burst INSIDE of her, and almost died. It was gangrenous.

My Dad has had a hip replacement, needs another one on his other hip, has arthritis in several places, has had back injuries so is in constant pain now coz of that etc. etc.

Me, whenever I think something is wrong with me it turns out to be nothing. The only thing I get is a lot of headaches because I have photosensitive eyes and sunlight owns them if I don't wear sunglasses. I can barely see in sunlight if I don't wear them.
atm though, I have back pains, but thats really nothing, it will go away soon I hope. I guess recently I thought my heart was going to stop because it palpitated horrendously for 30 seconds straight and felt like it was struggling to beat, so I might have to get it checked out probably.

24 hour stomach virus last night....-shudder-

You'll never guess where it happened.

Other than that, the worst I've had in a while is a badly infected cut, which got me very sick....

Medical Problems eh? Well considering what my family has I think im pretty lucky. Some things I have had:
A mild form of Spina bifida, its closer to Spina bifida occulta but just alittle worse (If you dont wanna look it up, simply put my Vertebra in my neck (normally its lower back) decided they didnt wanna develop properly, so parts of them are missing. Its a birth defect but thankfully nothing major, just means I can't play heavy contact sports, avoid pissing off people who may decide to crash tackle me or smash me in the neck, carrying excessivly heavy weights, stop a moving car, you know what sort of thing.

On to my head itrauma and most 'interesting ones' have been caused due to fighting with my sister.
When we were very young and were fighting, she figured a good way to win was to bash me over the head with a telephone after I had slashed her forehead (I had one very sharp nail O.o). It worked alright as she split my skull clean open. Also another time we were fighting she smashed the side of my head with a pole (THANKFULLY) just missing my eye. ALSO I fell over one time and smashed my head on the corner of a brick wall...requiring stiches just above my eye (I say my sister did it but I haven't been able to prove it....yet).
And then theres about 100000 Self Inflicted head injures just because im friggen clumsy, I've come to expect to hit my head into something about 10 times a day now..

But yeah as I said I'm pretty lucky and thats because I didn't get anything too bad like my older brother. He has a medical condition that like...4 People in Australia have. Put simply he gets muscles growths on his bones, limiting his movements and causing him constant pain. Worst part is although he can get an operation to remove the growths, all it does is temporarily relieve the pain and has a rather high chance of paralysis each time he goes under the knife.

O.O I knew your brother had that problem, but didn't know about the paralysis thing T.T I feel sorry for him now T.T And you don't hit your head that often :o You exaggerator don't make me use maths equations to show you why you can't have hit your head 10000 times :p (I'll ask Chaoz to do it XD) lol, I didn't see you hit your head even once today!

Wait ivernus if you can't stop a moving car, how can you become Australia's super hero? And head things are bad, maybe screw should buy you a safety helmet for your birthday.

Anyway adding more to my list of problems. I have broken both arms. Right one when 5 due to evil older sister, and left one when i was 14 when i attempted a daredevil stunt tat went horribly wrong. I have had Asthma since i was young, have twisted and twist my ankles really easy, and i am allergic to animal hair or something on them and Morphine... yeah not good.

Also thought i should add, not really my medical problem but i stabbed my friend in the eye once and blinded him for about... 5 hours.

LOL Huggy, I did the exact same thing to my friend with my thumbnail completely by accident cept she could still see, I don't even remember how it happened I think she was sitting behind me and I stretched as you do in class and got her in the eye because she was leaning forward to about to talk to me LOL! I felt so bad.

Also I have broken my collar bone when I was about 3 years old because -wait for it- the cat pushed me down the stairs!
Well, basically what happened was, I was carrying our cat up the stairs as little kids carry animals and kitty got pissed off because she didn't WANT to go upstairs, so she jumped out of my arms and as she did she pushed off my chest and I toppled backward down 2 flights of stairs and landed on concrete and a spiky brown welcome mat D= It hurt, and I had to have my arm in a sling for a long time v.v like I think about 8 weeks or something. The funny thing is I was an avid drawer and it was my right collarbone, and I am right handed, and I wasn't supposed to be moving my arm but whenever mum wasn't looking I would be drawing or colouring in and then mum would get angry at me D= lol!

I have some bad disasters in my body, most of which I can't get looked at or diagnosed because guess what, I live in the United States of America.

My parents practically ignored the health concerns of not only me, but my siblings as well. They didn't care about our health except for what THEY thought we have instead of actually trying to go see a doctor about the things that are wrong. They didn't want to spend the money on health but rather would spend money on themselves. Then as soon as I turned 18 it was, "Well it's not OUR fault you are this way. You are 18, you did this to yourself. We don't care."

I hold a lot of my problems against them and I am having a very hard time seeking help.

Hey, Pirate.....Really insulting your country like that? :P

Jk, that sucks man....

Pirate Foxes

It's not really insulting, it's how it is.

Insulting my country would be saying something like "The United States of America sucks, all the people there are fat, ugly, ignorant, warring Yankees. Their education system makes them the stupidest people in the civilized world. They are arrogant, selfish and rude."

Riida

Well let's see..
A LOT of americans ARE obese, The ugly thing isn't completely true, we DO seem to be warring a LOT, our national grade point average is quickly becoming one of the lowest worldwide. A lot of us are pretty selfish, we do have pretty big ego's (Or used to, with our crappy economy disgracing us..), and to be frank, a lot of americans are rude. But not anyone on these forums. We are all perfect beings.

Perfection is impossible. If a person became perfect they would cease to exist, because they would have no reason to, seeing as they are perfect and all.

Pff, curing cancer is simple. Now preventing cancer, that's difficult.

pfft, with the tech, the genes that cuase cancers are erased, thus rendering it to be passed on is negated, thus elimanting, for a being of higher creation you sure can't think on that level

Pirate, I have that thing going on for me right now. Every now and then when I'm reading a book I see freaking white flashes and I see floaters, my Asian mother won't take me to the eye doctor by saying it's because I don't eat enough carrots .__.

wow the alien mumbo-jumbo is annoying. Once i got a hole in my skull for a very stupid reason im not going to share. I had to get 2 staples in my head and they were removed by a normal staple remover. other then that i dont have too many bad things i get headaches alot from over use of computers i have sleep issues (now on pills to help with that) im alergic to cats (i have two) so i have fairly ugly looking arms. but thats about it nothing too bad.... oh also during the night my stomach makes weird noises and i feel sick but its every night so im not sure what it is...

hmm we have a business bunni but no bunni doctor?

Ow, a hole in your head O.O My brother has split his head open three times, once when he was in preschool and a kid pushed him off a tricycle and he had to get stitches. Another time he tripped in a ditch on a steep pathway and fell and knocked a rock out of cement (it was a garden edge) and the third time was when he was being an idiot on his bike and tried to do a jump off dad's excavator ramp (he used to get the excavator on the tipper), but he stacked it and split his head open on the handlebars where the handles had moved down and the sharp metal bit was sticking out. That time he had his head glued back together with super glue ;D

Also Pirate that sounds awful:babybunni: D= I could never understand how that feels because my parents always tried to give me and my brother the best of everything. I hope your life gets back on track soon. Even though it sounds like your parents weren't very good to you, you should not play the blame game because really what good is it going to do? You know the saying 'when life gives you lemons turn them into lemonade' really applies here ;D

Cancer doesn't work that way. In fact, most of the time it's caused by outside sources like space lasers, poisonous materials, and other crazy stuff.

screwbaII

Ya, Cthulhu is right, most cancer is caused by mutagenics, rather than genes. Mutagenics are outside influences that cause cells to mutate, for example UV radiation from the sun causes skin cells to mutate into cancer cells, like melanomas and stuff. Which is why ozone hole is BAD, and also why Aus has highest rate of skin cancer in the world (apart from the fact most people are stupid and lay on beaches for hours to get a tan >_>)

One of my uncles died from cancer caused by asbestos from when he used to work in places where there was high contact with asbestos (which was not considered dangerous at the time)
