how do i get the gold store unlocked? like how many wood and gold do i need?

It's all in there, like Riida wrote.

Under Gold Store, it says "Available in the Steel Store." So, a glance at the Steel Store reveals the following: "Gold Store - After buying string of pearls, depends on your gold/wood values."

I believe that answers both of your questions. :)
