Custom Emoticons.

We all use them. We've all seen them. Not just on Bunni Bunni but on many VBulletin forums.

Many themed forums have custom emoticons. And it's high time I say we get some 'round here.

Hehe, thanks for the confidence, Screwball. :) I'm rarely good at small artwork though; the smaller it is, the more likely I'm going to suck at it. :p

For example, all my attempts at a monster emoticon so far resemble more like a deformed bunni from Chernobyl, lol.

Hehe, that might not be necessary - looks like both the poor monster and my hands have been cured. :p

Here are three little monster emoticons that recovered from the disease:

All three are 16x16 transparent GIFs so they fit perfectly with the rest of icons. To test them, I replaced a couple of existing icons to see how they fit (see attached screenshot).

While that'd be really cool (bigger = more freedom in design), can we make the custom replacements equally useful in conveying all these emotions?

This would not be a concern if we have only a few unique ones, like the occasional monster/deer/bunni etc, but for a total replacement we'd have to think about that too, I guess. :)

I'm afraid I can't find the smilie option on admincp so I decide to replace the original smilie files with these ones so there only small number of thems.

I will try to contact Andre regarding this but if we stuck with 11 smilies, should we use bunni instead monster?
