Elona forumgame

The Elona thread (http://bunnibunni.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1585) started its sixth page as of this writing, so I figured you guys may be interested in some Elona metagaming as well. ;)

Overview
This forumgame goes similar to the sidequests you see offered on town messageboards in Elona. Post special requests about the game and complete other players' requests by posting screenshots. Show your skills and creativity and gain the appreciation of fellow Elona players.


Taking Requests
When you find a posted request that you'd like to complete, you are free to work on it in the game. When you think you have the requested item/happening/place on your screen, take a screenshot and post it here as the answer. Feel free to take requests that have been already fulfilled as well.

Restrictions: no image manip.


Posting Requests
Just like in the game, the requests follow specific templates. You can ask for:

screenshot of a specific item
screenshot of a specific happening
screenshot of a specific monster/character
a screenshot of a group (3 or more of the same creatures together) on one screen
identification of a place (post a screenshot of the place you want to identified)


Post only requests that you yourself can do in your game! You can add some optional comments in parentheses.

Restrictions: No wizard mode, no cheating.

I'll start off with a few requests.

1. Bear Family
Bears are so cute and cuddly, I can't get enough of them! Post a screenshot of three or more bears together.[/COLOR] Solved! (YniYni)

Show me a humanoid who's on fire.

3. Halloween Madness
Pumpkins! I want pumpkins! Show me a pumpkin screenshot. (More than one solution possible)

4. Just don't drop the soap!
Find me a Hard Gay, take a screenshot and tell me what he says.

I dont think this game uses my internet but ranomly tells me stuff about people like they die or do achievements.
I saw a funny anouncement that said Killer Robot Curly Brace has killed something and that was a doukutso cave story refrence so I lol'd so hard
Also,one of the tutorial people killed the other tutorial person once, that was also funny.

For the "Don't Drop the Soap." Not sure if you mean the this kind. But was my best guess.

Yeah, the messages appear even if you're not connected. Then it's about the built-in NPC adventurers. But it's more funny when you get death messages from actual people. ;)

Lovelight, that's a hilarious picture! The 'Hard Gay' I wrote about is the name of a humanoid monster that I sometimes encounter in the woodlands. It has a unique attack pattern that also includes some speech, which is what the quest is about, along with its screenshot. But thanks for trying, that pic and the story really cracked me up! :D

So, a Hard Gay has been finally found! I haven't seen the prison yet, but it seems the ideal place to find a creature with that name. :D

You know, it's funny, I've just had the Vanity guy trigger Ragnarok yesterday. If I only knew it's gonna be a quest! Oh well. It's actually rather easy, as you don't have to fight him at all - that'd be suicide. There are ways to make him fight while you just wait in a safe distance until the magic happens... ;) But my Vernis is unusable at this point.

Haha, that might take a while. :) I've occasionally killed them before they vanished, but never got a card or figure drop yet. Anyway, I'll post one when I do.

hard gay always appears in the jail so i just went cursed return scroll hunting it took me 4 of them but i got in there twice

Yeah, I saw that in the other thread. But it cannot really be proven whether hacking was used on these quests, so it's better to just act in good faith. :) Besides, YniYni's method of solving the hardest quest (Hard Gay) seems reasonable and legit, so I'm fine with that. But thanks for the notice. :-)

Gay Prostitute For 4 points.

To do this request, you must do "it" with 5 guys while using a guy, but don't go running off to play Elona yet. You must also have them pay you money. Mostly, when I do "it" with someone, I always get interrupted. Remember to add screenies to your post!

i see a problem with this one First: Character Gender isnt displayed very well on the npcs (you can find two npcs who look the same but are diff genders)

Second: To fix the first problem you would need to take probably 10-15 screenies and thats alot of space (limited attachment space) and editing time

Third: My game errors when I try to make a new char....

oh cool. The gay thing could work if the game was more accurite but for now it would be a pain. maybe the same thing but with only 2 or something? also if you gave me a male char 3k gold in vernis i could do that in under 2 min the trouble would be the screenies and such

OK, updated what we have so far.

Having solved everything posted before, YniYni is leading by 19 points on a scoreboard all to himself. Hope some of you guys give him some real competition. ;)

Currently open quests include taking a pic of a bunch of spiders, getting a silver/gold bell card or figurine, triggering Ragnarok, locating a mysterious place and hanging yourself in prison. Refer to each post for its details, and have fun! :)

i dont have elona anymore, and i cant download it, so... but i do have a quest. Someone get a Storehouse(place to store things safely, like another house, but is separate) and put a shelter(protection from the desease thing) and post a pic. might be expensive, so 2 points. fair right?

YniYni, you're doing a great job solving these. :) Perhaps too great, lol. Looks like the point system doesn't work quite the way I intended. When I added it, I thought it will inspire people to join and engage in some healthy competition. Well, it looks like I was off the mark with this one. :-)

So from here on there will be a couple of changes to the game.

1. We're not playing for points anymore, just purely for the fun of completing challenges.
This opens up some interesting possibilities, like the ones below.

2. Completed challenges don't close.
That is, if you see a challenge you'd like to do, feel free to do it even if someone else has done it before. Since there is no score, there is no reason to close completed challenges.

3. Moongates are fair game.
Again, since there is no score to worry about, random stuff like moongates is okay. Feel free to go crazy and creative. ;) Still no cheating though. Just within the game's natural limits.

To keep things interesting, here are some new challenges:

Tomb Raider
When I was young, I used to be an avid explorer of tombs, but my memories are fading. To help me remember, show me the pictures of a Solemn Tomb and an Ancient Tomb. (don't have to be on the same screenshot and cargo is okay too.)

Suicidal Freaks
We're a sect whose goal is to perfect the art of suicide. Show us three types of creatures that we can learn suicide moves from. (Don't have to be on the same screenshot)

Hall of Tortured Souls
Ancient legends speak of a portal that leads to a torture chamber full of tied-up creatures that visitors can torture at will. If you are truly adventurous, show me a screenshot of that unholy place and the highest-level being inside it.

The Suicidal Freaks Return
Our suicide equipment turned to dust when several of our members set themselves on fire in our compound. We will be grateful to the kind adventurer who brings us three types of functional equipment that can instant-kill the user. (Don't have to be on the same screenshot)

random also when a custom npc is created the maker gives it a "Rarity" value which determines how often it appears.

Genetic Engineering at it's greatest potential!

I plan to do some additional testing with my genetic research, and my most recent ones creating super-races by giving them the genes of very strong monsters, as well as new breeds of super-monsters who are more powerful than the anything North Tyris has ever seen before! So please, to allow me to accomplish this task, go out and capture <Frisia>, <Azzrssil>, and <Utima> for me! This task will be greatly appreciated! You will be rewarded with 0 gold and useless garbage.

Note: Just a screenshot will be enough. Also, try WITHOUT cheating.. heheh xD
