The Balance
Vague as it is, the world, is full of evil. More evil then most people care to know about.
Someone has to keep the peace, right? Well, someone does you see, you have the boring world 99% of the population lives in. Work, job, home, etc.
Then there is that one minuscule percent where all the peacekeepers live, and I'm not talking about police and firefighters, no no, they just get all the fame.
It's to keep the people from knowing of the truth, one that would cause mass panic and rioting.
You see, people are not to inclined to get along with each other, or even help each other.
Even though that is fairly evil, it's only passive and half the time unintended. I mean we all gotta survive, right?
On to the point, people don't know true evil, they don't need to, and they never will. Whether you choose to try to help everyone realize that evil exists, protect the innocence, or just live in the world knowing what goes on in reality.

Purgatory Hunters
The line between reality and insanity, the Purgatory Hunters keep the peace.
They fight off the Truth Finders and the Evil Spawn barely keeping up with it half of the time.
Truly the only thing keeping safe the gullible and weak people of reality.

Truth Finders
The only humans living in reality that truly understand whats going on, they see it all. What they make of it, is they're own business.
Although deemed insane by most, they can fully interact with both the Purgatory Hunters and Evil Spawn.
They have the free will to choose sides though and can cause major imbalances in either direction.

Evil Spawn
You know that guy that robs the bank and kills ten people? Well, these people, if they can be called that, aren't them.
More like the ones that cause earthquakes, volcano eruptions, and tsunamis, killing thousands of people.
Yea, that's more like it, with unmatched evil they are compared only to Purgatory Hunters in power, and even that's stretching it.
