View Full Version : Very Sobby Night.
So I'm pretty sure you've all heard of Clannad. Probably from us talking about it in chat (although that was a few months ago).
Well last night when I got off I did what I always do: play on my iTouch until I get tired and want to go to sleep. Well I was watching a video made with MMD (Miku Miku Dance) and a really familiar child-like miracle-sounding touching-moment song played at the end and I knew it was from Clannad. So I looked up Clannad OST and didn't find the song. But then I did a very, very bad thing.
I started watching sad scenes of Clannad. Which, in turn, made me bawl and gave me a stomach ache because my stomach is evil.
So here's my question to youu...
Have you ever come across any anime/TV shows/movies that have made you cry?

I only saw the first season of Clannad. It wasn't that sad. (<3 Fuuko)
I heard the second season of Clannad was way sadder though.
Something about a dead mom, and a living child.
Final Fantasy X's ending was pretty sad.
Hughe's death in Full Metal Alchemist was sad.
There were a lot of stuff in Fruits Basket that was sad.
The ending for Elfen Lied.
That's all I can think of for now, but I do cry at a lot of small things.
D: Being emotional sucks! (sometimes)

Have you guys ever heard of the song "Christmas Shoes."? Well this is the song/movie that always got me.
It is about a boy who's mother used to be a dancer and always loved dancing. Well his mother is dying and he wants to wants to have her mother dance again by buying these nice dancing shoes before she dies.
Well the night that he thinks he finally gets enough money his mother starts to die completely. The boy tells his mother to hold on and wait well he runs to the store(she doesn't know he is trying to buy these shoes for her). When he gets to the store he starts looking for the shoes, but he can't find them. Then over the loud speaker it says "Closing in one minute, bring all purchases to the counter, Thank you."
He still can't find the shoes. Finally he sees them and runs to the front. (he is crying the whole time) When he goes to the front he sees a long line, he runs to the front and asks if he can cut and the man in front says "Sure." He starts counting out the money for the shoes he finds out he doesn't have enough.
Knowing that every minute it takes him to buy the shoes, is another minute that his mother is in pain and dying, so of course, he tears up. As he is crying he tries to explain to the cashier what is going on and saying
"Sir, I need to buy these shoes, for my mother who is sick and dying." Well the man in the front of the line gives the rest of the money to buy the shoes and the boy thanks him. The boy grabs the shoes and runs home to his waiting mother and puts on the shoes. Her last living seconds are in the hands of her husband... dancing.
It is either that or "Lord of the Rings return of the King". At the end when Frodo has to leave his friends and family to ride off with the elves always makes my eyes water.
