I'm new to this... and I was wondering why I can't edit my information on my profile. I know how to get there, but when I try to edit it, it says it won't let me. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Well, since you are new, you should read the rules. If you can see that button that says, "FAQ", click it, and it will tell you why you can't edit your avatar ect.

This must be something new. I know I didn't have to wait to edit my profile... I think. Well, I never noticed it if anything.

Always double-check before you ask something on the forum. This questions been asked a thousand times before. You don't even need to visit the FAQ. Just look at the countless times this questions been asked before. I promise you the answer hasn't changed.

K thanks for the help everyone, but normally I just look on the first page because sometimes I have to go through countless pages just to find one answer that I want.
Ahh... found one on Blue's post why he couldn't... It was also on the first page. Thanks Elpuntthing

Yea, Rose changed it to protect us from the evil spambots putting naughty pictures on their profiles (some do slip through the filters unfortunately :() In any case, this also applies to a couple of other things like siggys and PMs.

Yep. On the Who's Online list you can sometimes see spambots trying to do things like editing their profiles and PM-ing random users, and getting the 'forbidden' screen instead.
