Nex Fabula: Shaol

Since the new roleplay will take a while, I've decided to create a teaser rp! Bwahahahaaa! You will be playing as children, yes children. Preteen, to younger. You'll be children because you don't have much knowledge of the world outside of Shaol. (And because these things have not been written down in preparation for the new rp. Exciting stuff guuys! Only for me. . ?)

Shaol: A Rogue Kingdom, not very wealthy. They live in Anarchy, long ago their king, King Senathon was killed by an organization of rogues. Ever since then, Shaol is run by the most notorious criminals. Their lawless roads are filled with murder and thievery. The shady town is inland, bordering the forests and mountains.

The children of Shaol are an important part of it, they grow up, usually becoming corrupted by crimes and murder. It's a shame, the children of Shaol are usually created on accident, though they grow up in a tough world.

((So, what will this contribute to the upcoming rp? You can transfer your character here to the new one! But all grooown up! It's good backstory planning if your going to be in this kind of town as a rogue. You can create two, yes two, characters and kill your characters
off, of course, in the new roleplay. So go ahead and take a shot at this!))

Name: Serith

Age: 12

Description: A young not so clean looking child, looks like a young poor child, much like the rest in Shaol. He wears leather boots, stolen from the stores that are failing in today's market. Along with a leather jacket, from the same store. He wears a dirty cloth shirt. His eyes are black, almost pure black.

Inventory: A pocket knife he found off a dead body and some stale bread.

Bio: Serith barely remembers his past, he's smart for a kid. Well, smart in street smart, definitely not book smarts. He ended up naming himself off a shop he saw down the corner of a street during a time a stranger asked him what his name was.

Name:Jake Howitz

Age: 10

Description:Brown Long Hair, Rattered Clothes,

Inventory:Nothing really

Bio: Jake has been hurt by people a lot, he was raised a criminal, and another smart kid.

Serith was sitting on the curb of the cobblestone sidewalk, he tripped a thief running by and jumped on his back, punching him in the back of the neck. "Kid, get off me!" The man kicked Serith off and pulled out a blunderbuss, old century short ranged run. A few shots of that and you'd be down on the ground bleeding to death. Most people in this town are too drunk to even aim these new creations brought over by some traders.

Serith dashed down the corner, he had a gun! The man shot at Serith, nipping the back of his foot, "Ahh!" He took a sharp turn and looked back, the man stopped following him.

"Putrid kid!" The man yelled spitting on the ground, he continued on his way.

[Blaze]

Jake comes,and sees the kid bleeding,he comes over and asks, "Are you alright?"

[Mkishere]

Serith sits on the ground and holds his foot out, "No. . ." He didn't know why he was talking to this kid but he was too tired to punch him in the face for talking to him, maybe he could help. "Do you know what to do. . . when someone gets shot?" His shoe was ruined by the pullet, he bit his lip. He'd have to steal another pair later.

[Blaze]

"I don't know really,but I'll carry you to the hospital."

[Mkishere]

"Don't you remember? The town's too poor to have a hospitalithing, this town is a mess. . . ." Serith was surprised by how kind this kid was being.

[Blaze]

"Hold on,I might have a few dollars in my pocket!" He counted 5 dollars and 10 cents,and said " I'll buy a medical book!"

Name: Nailah

Age: 12

Description: A scruffy girl, with a tomboy nature, even from a young age she has learnt to be steely, and not trust anyone. She rarely smiles, but she is very pretty when she does. Wears some baggy pants and a grubby tank top, is learning the art of manipulation verrry quickly.


Inventory: Some throwing knives and a shortbow with a few arrows, a few stolen coins, and a small leather bag.

Bio: Nailah has lived in Sheol all of her life. Her mother was a single parent and had her after being raped. Her mother was murdered in a pub brawl when she was 7, since then she has lived on the streets, learning how to steal, manipulate and fight in order to survive. As she is getting older however she has been looking for someone to trust, because she realises that being alone is becoming more dangerous the older she gets.

Name: Lily (goes by Tommy.)

Age: 8

Description: Long dirty blonde hair, thin, wears a torn dress... yeah. She's quiet and lets herself get trampled over.

Inventory: A pocket knife.

Bio: A real tomboy. Lived in the destitute area the majority of her 8 years. The only feminine thing she still owns since her mother's death is a teddy bear. For a living, she cleans up corpses that litters the streets. She butchers decaying bodies and sends them to various places. Her mom died when she was just born. So Lily didn't know her name. So she calls herself Tommy.

Name: Erafa Lonefang

Age: 13

Description: A gentle kid, tall and leen. He sticks to the shadow, following everyone from behind. He's a listener, He watch and look. He has a gentleman's personality. Ready to jump down a noose before being hanged, he's a highwayman's version of a kid.

Inventory: Holds a small sharp arrow which he uses as a throwing knife from his father who serves as a vessel under the local king. He also holds black smithing tools and a hairpin.

Bio: Born in a decent family, raised with the soldiers. He watches and watches. Learning on his earn, he practices the art of being a kind yet demanding type. He dreamt of being the one who shall help out the poor. He doesn't have much friends, but he's steadfast and loyal.

"Eh? Why not steal it?" Serith said, what was wrong with this kid. He wanted to BUY something? HAHA!

[Blaze]

"Oh yeah,still,I'll go see if I can do either."

Nailah was nearby when she saw a thief pull out a gun on a kid her own age. As the child escaped and the thief went on his way she pulled out her bow and an arrow and followed a little way behind the man, until he turned down an alley. From behind she quickly let loose an arrow hitting him in the back. It was a lucky shot and she managed to paralyze him, and he fell to the ground, his legs collapsing under his now deadweight body.
Kicking him over she took out the gun, looking at it in bewilderment, then looted the rest of his person while the guy was still alive and watching. But he could do nothing.
"Thanks" she said as she stood up and coldly left the man to his own fate, lieing in an alley helpless.
She slung the blunderbuss over her shoulder as she walked away, and dropped some ammunition she found on the man as well as some coins into her small bag she kept around her neck and under her shirt. The only real safe place.
She then went back to see if she could spot the kid who got shot, although he was probably either gone or dead by now.

Climbing the gray wall behind a poor looking guy, I watched down from below as the plot unfold.

Name: Ryu

Age: 12

Description: Short for his age, unkempt short brown hair, Hazel eyes, tattered clothing, no shoes

Inventory: A few pieces of discarded cloth.

Bio: When Ryu was a younger boy he was cast out from his incredibly poor family so they would be able to eat. Over time he has learned somethings and is able to read barely.

"Aaaghh. . ." Serith didn't like sitting helplessly on the ground, or being helped. But it seems necessary, "Alright. . . th-th-theinks." Was it theinks? No wait, thanks? Serith didn't know, this word was rarely used by him. He only heard incoming travelers say it whenever someone did something for them they wanted, like when they held up a gun to someone and told them to give them their money. I guess this was different but Serith still thought it would apply to the situation.

[Blaze]

Jake comes back reading the book, " apply bandages," Jake looks around for bandages, "Ah-a!" He uses part of his shirt.

[Mkishere]

Serith thought for a moment, he took off his boot, "Umm, ok." He didn't know what wrapping a shirt around a bleeding wound would do, but it sounded legitimate. Travelers always bought books, they must be right!

[Darken Sin]

I hid in a tree, still watching the streets below.

[Blaze]

"Now, where do you want to stay? In that box over there? In that alley with the man paralyzed? It says to rest." He says while wrapping his shirt around the wound.

[Lovelight]

Tommy was busy dragging another body off the road, when she heard a gunshot. Another.

She sighed in disdain, and wobbled over to the area where the man seemed to be been, dead and began dragging by his cold arm.

But then, she heard a few kids' voices from a distance. She wondered whether she should go follow the voices.

Name: Shard menfiss

Age:12

Description:has jet black hair and wheres a trench cloke that was make for him by his dead mother. ( his fathers dead too )

Inventory: a long dagger that fits his small size and a neklace that looks like the grim reapers sythe.

Bio:Shard is a sad boy thats parents where killed in a fire and ever sents that time he has ben a theif ( a good one at that ) and will stop at almost nothing to get what he wants.

I peek out of the leaves, looking down I saw a girl, no wait, boy next to what seem to be a dead guy. Better be quiet, I silently rolled off to the roof of a local house and shift myself down the sewer poles. I hid in the shadows now.

((xD she cleans bodies off the streets!))

"Uhh. . . how about I not rest, it's dangerous." Were the writers of this book idiots? You cannot rest in Shaol! He'd be shot, but the people who wrote the book might be elkes! No wait, elves! They're much smarter than humans but their ears look funny.

[SilentRayne]

Ryu almost stole a loaf of bread when the store owner came out to check out the gunshot in a near by alley " Eh put that down you little brat" Ryu quickly turns and runs into the only hiding place... the alley.

Serith looks over at the garbage pile, "Do you see some hair in that pile? I think someones in there!" Serith takes out a dagger and walks towards it, and immediately stops. His foot hurt too much.

After a few steps, realises that perhaps the blunderbuss was not such a great idea, as it is very heavy. She changes her mind 'screw that other kid' she thought, the one who got shot, he'll either die or suvive with or without her. She instead headed over to the nearest gun shop just down the street to sell the blunderbuss.

Age: 10 1/2

Description: He has shaggy blonde hair and sad green eyes. He has dirty brown pants and shirt and no shoes. He has pointed ears due to his ancestry.

Inventory: A small bow, with a quiver. A small bag, an ocarina. and a sharp Rock used as a knife.

Bio: He was born as a result between an elf and a human. His human father never knew of him, and his elven mother didn't acknowledge him. He found clothes and food on his own but no one cared or liked him. He was usually beaten by kids and adults alike but has managed to make a wooden home hidden from the public. His mom died when he was about five and the only thing she had was an ocarina. He doesn't have a name (for now)

Jake just stole a gun,and gunned down a criminal. When he left Serith,he left a note. Jake brings the bag the criminal had and gave it back to the shop owner.

[Darken Sin]

Seeing some kids hiding next to the next alley, I rolled off behind a couple of barrels behind the store keeper. Silently approaching him, I sneaked a piece of bread into my left pocket. I then hastily grabbed the store owner by the neck. "Why, hello my good sir. I think you need a good night sleep." He gasped a bit before I knocked him out with a judo chop to the shoulder. I grabbed his earning of the day and stepped back to where the kids were. "Hey guys, you want an- what the hell?" I swiftly grabbed my arrow blade.

[Shade]

Shard slowly pokes his head out just enuff to see out of the can.

On her way down to the shop, Nailah spots a blonde-haired boy looking rather sad sitting in a gutter and she goes over to him, noting his pointed ears. "Why... you look rather sad, what's the matter?" She noticed he had a few bruises on him. (Huggy)

Backing into the alley Ryu spun around to find another kid with a dagger moving towards a pile of garbage

He looked up and saw a girl talking to him, he never really talked much and kids never really talked to him. "Uh, um yea, im 'k"

[Mkishere]

Serith looked around, why were there so many kids? He jumped into the trash can, "Mind if I use this?" He pushed Shade out, and rolled over, taking a nap. (brb xD)

[Blaze]

Jake sees a girl with a blunderbuss talking to a blonde kid. He goes over saying "What's going on?"

[Darken Sin]

"What in dear god, was that the kid I just saw earlier? Nevermind.." I muttered, I then placed the loaf of bread near the garbage and dash up to the closest wall, I climbed it and jumped into a roof top to get a view of things.

[Shade]

Shard, "Um ok?" he then clims up some vines to the top of the shop.

[Lovelight]

Tommy dragged the body to the usual place. The place where the corpse rot. In the small crates. She decided not to dismember him to squeeze him into the wooden crate.

Instead, she ran back to where she found the man, and looked into the alley where several kids seemed to be playing around. Somewhat shy, she approached them, but immediately dismissed the idea and went the other way. But tripped on a bottle of beer in the process.

Jake sees a girl with a blunderbuss talking to a blonde kid. He goes over saying "What's going on?"

dude, no offense or anything but... you seem to be all over the place with your rping. First youre with someone the next you with someone else, make up your mind. I'm just gonna ignore this entry for the moment because you somehow just shot someone left a note and did something else all in the space of me bending over someone and saying "hi"... just slow down a bit :)

RP: "You seem a little.... beaten up..." Nailah begins... she somehow felt a need to want to help the boy, but no idea how to offer it "Why don't you come along with me, I'm going to sell this here blunderbuss for some coin, should be enough to get us a good meal somewhere"

Ineu looks around extremely confused at all of the kids around the alley and decides to just walk away.

[Darken Sin]

I heard a whump and turned around. Down near an open road, a girl fell down. She seems mighty clumsy, so I find the nearest route down again and spied on what she's doing.

"You wont get any food if your near me, i don't know why thought you just wont"

[Darken Sin]

I shook the money patch I took from the store person... hmm.. seem to be only a few coins.

[screwbaII]

"It's because of your ears silly" she replied, "but that's ok, I know a place where we can get some food no matter what your ears are like". She puts out a hand for the boy to help him up.

[Blaze]

Jake is walking from the store back to his spot when he gets shot in the shoulder,the man who shot him ran away.

Tommy stood up, and ran back to the place where she dragged the corpse. Which isn't really that far. Like across the street far.

She picked up a heavy bloody cleaver she used to dismembered the body with. Still she looked back outside to see what the other kids were doing. She felt quite lonely.

[Eh... this rp is confusing...]

[Shade]

Shard then walks over to to front ege of the stor and looks down too see the shop keeper looking in some other kids diretion, so he jumps down.

He pushes himself up, and goes with the girl, he doubts he will get food but at least he isnt alone.

[screwbaII]

Nailah heads over to the gun store, with the boy following. "Now, you wait here, I will be just a few minutes" she instrcuts the boy at the door.

I then felt a bit guilty and walked out from my hiding place to behind that girl.

[Shade]

shade walks into the store keepers house and looks for anthing of value.

[Darken Sin]

[the girl is Lovelight]

Ineu creeps out of near by hiding place to return to the store that he almost stole dinner from noticed another looter in the building "..um hello"

He decides to sit down and he takes out his ocarina and plays a tune.

[Shade]

Shard looks under the shop keeperd bed and finds a breef case he that opens it and a soon as he did he shut it again picked it up and walked out of the house.

Nailah enters the shop as the boy sits down, and walks over to the small counter, dumping the gun on it. "How much will you pay me for this?" she asks the shop keeper. He looks at her from behind the counter with a raised eyebrow. "WELL??!!" she asks impatiently, drawing out one of her throwing knives.
The man looks it over. "Well, it looks... very new..." he begins. Nailah pulls out the ammunition. "It came with this".
"Well in that case... 20 gold pieces and 20 silver pieces" says the man. "Deal" says Nailah, knowing this is a good deal for a second hand gun. She takes the money and puts it in her small brown bag, jingling it a bit, before pressing it against her under her tank top and heading back outside to the boy who was playing an instrument.

[Lovelight]

Tommy stood by the bloody-stained door wondering about what the kids were doing in the alley. As she has many times before, she felt like an outcast. She sighed, but felt someone behind her. Suprised, she bowed to the kid behind her, and stepped aside, thinking that she was in his way.

He looks up to se the girl coming and puts away his instrument

Ineu quickly loots what he can from the story, some bread and more cloth patches.

"What's yer name anyways?" Nailah asks the boy as he quickly puts away his instrument.

Nailah raised an eyebrow at him "You don't... have a name? Why don't you give yourself one. My name is Nailah"

Serith couldn't see through the dusty window. He walked in, guuns. . . "I hate guns. . . " Serith looked up, seeing a girl, "Guns are for the weak!" He looked around, feeling like setting flame to this building. He's been shot at too many times with these guns. "Kid, get outta my shop!" The storekeeper yelled.

(Edit, he did not talk to the girl.)

He turned around and walked outside, seeing other.

Nailah was startled as the shop door slammed and a kid walked out, that she had not noticed had walked in. He looked like the kid who had been shot earlier. "Hey... weren't you shot at earlier?" she asked the boy who had just walked out.

[Mkishere]

(HUGGY TO THE RESCUE? CUE AFRO! Map, Shaol is a flat town, except for the long stairways leading up to the king's palace, which is now in ruins and serves as a black market. The king's palace is in the ledge of the mountain, on the opposite of the kings palace, through the messy town of Shaol, lies the dead forests. : / Thats all thats required. Stree names anyone?)

"Eh? You saw that? Guns stink like rotten cobbler!" He slammed the floor with his shoe, he recoiled, same foot that was shot. Blood oozed from the shirt bandage. Serith wimpered a bit and sat on the curb, "Bloody guns. . ."

[Darken Sin]

I paused as I look inside the store, nothing. Seems everything got robbed, I found an apple and ate it. I got up and strolled down the street, hiding along the ridges for anyone.

[screwbaII]

"Yer..." Nailah put her hands on her hips and noticed the blood. "Got you in the foot huh?" she said, noticing the nameless boy had gone quiet.

[Shade]

Shard sadly plays his new oricanina (i think thats the right spelling)

He hadn't payed attention he tried thinking of a name, when his mind went blank. "Could you, um, do it for me?"

[Mkishere]

((I wasn't the nameless boy xD My guy's name is Serith, just in case you were referring to me.))

He looked down at his foot, "Yeah. . . it makes it hard to run and walk." He turned around, head down. He was injured. He quietly sobbed, with his back to the girl so she wouldn't see.

[Darken Sin]

I turned the corner, seeing what seem to be a kid with a bloody foot and a girl in front of a gun shop. Weird...

[huggyboo]

Snapped back to attention by the quiet boy with the strange ears and his odd request, Nailah tries to think of a new name for the boy. "What about... Cole. That seems to suit you quite... well... you look like a Cole to me."

[huggyboo]

"... ok i guess..."

((he is a sad person))

[Lovelight]

Tommy's curiosity took over, and she ran over to the alley, and tripped on the bottle again.

There, a few yards away, she sees a guy somewhat crying in front of the girl. She wasn't sure whether to approach him. Somewhat nervous, she hid her blood-stained palms behind her back and approached them.

"Umm.." she stammered, looking at her bare feet, "I-..um.."

[screwbaII]

"You don't seem too excited about it Cole", she said, feeling a little sad for the boy. Turning to the other kid who was sitting in the gutter and apparently in pain over his foot, "And what about you?" Nailah asked, "Do you have a name or do I have to come up with one for you as well?" Nailah notices a little girl approach them, and attempt to talk.

[Mkishere]

Serith wiped his tears and looked over at the girl, trying his best to hide the fact he was crying, "You what?" He leaned against the shop so his foot wouldn't hurt. "My name's Serith." He answered the girl.

[huggyboo]

"It's not like anyone will care enough to use it."

[Lovelight]

"Is your foot ok?!" she asked, unexpectedly loudly.

"I know a clinic nearby. It's rundown and controlled by deliquents but...it's better than nothing."

[Mkishere]

Serith perked up, "Can you show me the way?"

[screwbaII]

"Ah, my name is Nailah, and this here is Cole", Nailah says introducing her new, well, friend she supposed. "And don't be silly Cole, I will use your name", turning to the little girl who had just arrived to their group.

[huggyboo]

Cole didn't really listen all he knew is that he was gonna leave this city and soon

Seeing that the other boy and the little girl were discussing taking him to a clinic about his foot, Nailah turned to Cole. "What's up? You look distracted"

[huggyboo]

"Hmm nothing... werent you gonna get food?"

[screwbaII]

"Oh yea!" exclaimed Nailah and realised her stomach grumbled "I was too..." she held out her hand to help Cole up.

[Lovelight]

"It's a ways from here," she said, "just follow me."

Tommy led him out of the alley, and into a rundown clinic that was actually next to the butcher shop. o3o

She opened the wooden door, and found it to be dark inside. Like most clinics these days.

"It seems that they're not here," she hung her head, "I'll go and see if there's something you can use for your foot."

She rumaged around the place, and came out with a long white cloth.

"We can use this!" she waved it at him, "If you want."

Cole once again got himself up without her help. They walked a bit before Cole asked "What are you gonna do when you grow up?"

[Mkishere]

Serith sat down in a chair, "Uhh. . . sure." He took off his boot and held out his foot, not sure if she was willing to wrap the bloody foot.

[Lovelight]

Tommy was somewhat uncomfortable. She was used to tearing apart strangers, but mending them's a different story.

First, she looked for a bullet that may have been lodged in his foot, but didn't find it. She assumed that the bullet lodged in there, or the bullet is elsewhere. Either way, she used the hem of her dress to wipe the blood and began wrapping the cloth around his foot.

"Um, what's your name, stranger?"

Age: 11

Description:Green hair, all over his face, Single earring, black vintage hoody and loose jeans.

Inventory:Nothing.

Bio:Eeeeeh, orphan, lil Arseish sometimes and when he gets worked up he goes a little insane.

Tate woke up from the dumpster and looked across the street, seeing someone robbing a grocery store. He ducked and poked his head out to watch.

Nailah surprisingly laughed at Cole's question. "You even expect to grow up? To have a future?" seeing that he was indeed serious about the question she sighed "well... I guess I have always wanted to travel... but you need money to travel... And I want to be a ranger! Or a beast tamer! And befriend animals... which I have been practicing on a few alley cats... one of them in particular really liked me... but it was killed by a mean man who was trying to hurt me, and it was trying to protect me a few weeks ago. Since then I've been kinda lonely, but I will not give up on mastering the art of befriending animals". Nailah had a strange feeling of trust for Cole and didn't mind disclosing trivial things about herself to him. "What about you?"

Description:A small kid with all black clothing and all black hair so he is virtually invisible at night
Bio:A small but bright little kid that can squeeze into virtually any gap and pick most locks, and can steal somewhat easily.

Fenaris saw a group of people over by the store(ur there right?)he found a small lock on the front door and picked it for all of 20 seconds. he then started making his way around the store thinking that those kids had a good idea of going in the store. he started taking things from shelves.(i think we just kinda got away from medieval for the most part, with hospitals and stuff)

Jake lays there after he gave the book to the bandit.He says, "What do I want to be? I want to be king to kill these bandits. Ugh..." Jake stands up and runs towards the kids, holding his shoulder, "Can any of you help me?" He trips over a rock and feels he can't be alive for long.

After Fenaris was done looting the store, he meandered on back to his little home in the underground.( its a big catacomb under the city that leads to this area overlord. that alright if i add that, it got a lot of traps between the city and the overlord's house)"ahh alone and living with a lot of loot"Fenaris told himself.

I turned back from the corner, and I then walked to the back alley of the gun shop. Taking out my hairpin I stow, I slowly open the back door. I quietly snuck in.

"Well.... we could... travel together?" Nailah asked, hoping to have a companion. With the money she made from stealing then selling the gun they could at least make a start to leave this place. They arrived at a small rundown cafe, and Nailah beckoned to Cole to follow her inside. The place looked desolate.

I crept into the store, looking as the man polished a shiny new gun. Hmm, could be of use. I snuck behind him. He shifted a bit and looked back. I duck behind what seem to be another gun. It was loaded, my god? I knew blunderbusses can't be shot from an upward angle so I crawled toward him. Grabbing pieces of nails... I pointed it to his head. "Hello, my dear sir. Mind you, you'll be going to heaven."

Fenaris crept back into the overworld(the city, he just left the catacombs below the city) he noticed 2 people going into an abandoned inn(there is no cafe's in this time period, but there are inns) and he decided to follow 'em

Cole stayed outside the shop. "Yeah we can travel together if you want, but i can't go in there." He said looking at the shop. "Let's go to my home instead i have some food there. And we can stay there until we leave"

"Ok but first..." Nailah ducked into the shop and a few seconds later came out with a small cream cake. Using a throwing knife she split it in two, before wiping the cream off of her knife and offering half to Cole.
Nailah also notices a boy skulking around the shadows and she draws the throwing knife she just wiped cream off. "Who are you and what do you want?" she calls out to him.

Cole looks down at the cake and puts it back. "Forget them let's go" he said walking down

Fenaris noices that she said somthing but wasnt listening and they start to walk away. he hops onto the roof and follows them very silently

The store owner gasped, but it was too late. His head burst into red as the nails entered his head. I picked up the new blunderbuss. Sweet... two blunderbuss. I picked out a new knife and some powder and ammo. I left as fast as I came.

Tate got in a rage with the fight, he was stabbing every living thing, and he was almost a blur. He cut ones head off, and stabbed one in the chest, Almost laughing. He then roundhoused one to the head, he got up and started shooting. Tate was dodging them relatively fast, but a lot of them hit his arms and legs. He swore and bit his lip, running at the robber with the amethyst in his head.

"That kid is following us" whispered Nailah, so only Cole could hear, "In here" she said, pulling Cole into a small crack into an abandoned building. To Fenaris it would seem like they simply vanished. Nailah knew the large abandoned building well and led them through a maze of rooms to a back exit where they escaped unseen by anyone and continued to head to Cole's place. Eating her half of the cake as she went.

Cole soon led them to a manhole. "In here" they wnet in and followed a pipe system to come out to an open are outside of the city walls where there was a small wooden shack and a large green tree.

"where'd they go"Fenaris asked himself. he examined their 'vanishing' point and saw a small crevice."ha, i can fit virtually anywhere, and i need to stop talking to myself"Fenaris said to himself(i talk to myself as i post anything on the forums lol)Fenaris started following the crack and it led to a warehouse and he wlked out and found a manhole. in relativity to the catacombs, he could camp just underneath this and know all traffic through this manhole. surveillance is starting.

I Climb back on the roof, looking down at everyone. Killing each other, I'm different. Heh, I kill those who are evil and rich. I am only a gentleman. I grabbed what I have left and thought for a minute. My father always tell me that Shaol is the most worse town ever, yet I was raised there. Hmm, if that was true.. I better be leaving then. I already came to the age of maturity, and now I have my own life to lead. I jumped to the next house and made my way south.

Jake lays there,almost dead. No one will come to his aid. He yells to see if he could get the kids attention

Tate stabbed the robber, killing him. He was breathing heavily, he was bleeding, and he was at the breakpoint of losing control again. he grabbed a....A cabbage?and ran out, he had to cool off. He looked around, he saw someone in a house and started to run towards him/her.(thats u darken.)

In any case, the large building we disappeared into was a bit of a maze, so you would've taken a bit of time to find your way around zly, and also I imagine there would be a lot of manholes in the streets XD but anyway, doesn't matter too much you can set up surveillance on a manhole if you want :p just if you had some strange kid following you who didn't reply to you or seem friendly you wouldn't want them following you, which is why I kinda did that but nevermind ;) ))

The two entered Cole's house to find not much. there were some blankets, a small basket, and a metal shield on the wall. "It's not much but it works. The tree grows a small edible seed year-round so i always have food. You can stay here if you like but if you want to travel with me we will be leaving sometime soon."

Tate finally calmed down, he decided to explore. He went down a manhole and started snoopin around.

"It's uh. . Serith!" He said, wincing at her tend to his foot, "Whats uh yours?" He blushed, it felt odd having someone tend to his foot, almost like he had an older sister.

"Name's Tommy," she finished wrapping, though the wrapping was somewhat loose. She stood up and turned her back smiling. It's been forever (literally) since she talked to anyone almost her age.

As I lay in the outskirts of Shaol, I look back at the scum I have been through, my mom died, father at war. No one looks at me, and I'm a silent rebel. I slung the two blunderbuss behind me and walked through the road to the south in silence..

"About 7-8," she said, "I don't know my birthday, so one of those."

She turned back to him, not sure what to say. Like most of the ghetto kids, they weren't good at socializing, let alone small talk.

"Nice place..." Nailah said a little envious that Cole had been able to find a place to live away from the murderous streets. "Of course! we should travel together... it's getting more and more unsafe to be alone now"

She was younger than him, so much for the big sister talk. "Oh cool. . .haha I'm older than you." He smiled, "I'm 12." She better believe him, most of those annoying other kids never believe him.

Tate went up on another manhole. Nothing but ruins...."This is getting boring..."

"I see," the girl merely said. To her, age didn't mean anything. As long as they die sooner or later(for her butcher shop), the number's not worth acknowledging.

"You come here a lot?" she asked, "This is the first time I've seen you around.

Having already eaten the cake from earlier Nailah did not feel hungry. Instead she sat down and pulled a blanket around her and leaned against a wall waiting for Cole to return with some water, slowly drifting off to sleep. IF they were travelling she would need it she supposed as she fell into a light sleep.

"I usually hide and stuff." He paused looking at a blood splatter on the ground, "But today I got shot in the leg, so I had to ask someone for help." He looked at the clinic exit.

Cole quickly got water and went back inside. He saw Nailah was starting to sleep so he got out his Ocarina and started playing a gentle song.

"We should leave before they come back," Tommy said, opening the door, "I'll pay for your treatment."

"No need, why would you pay in this place?" Serith said, walking out.

Cole noticed the girl fall asleep. Rather than sleep he decided to go out to the nearby woods and get some practice done.

"They'll know I'm here," she replied, "The people here know me for a very long time."

So she believed. The real reason they'd know is because of the stench of a thousand corpses.

"Oh. . . " He stepped out and was wondering how she would pay.

"I should...uh, get back to work," Tommy remembered about the man who was yet to be dismembered.

"I guess I'll see you around?" She didn't really want him to leave, but death beckons. o3o

Cole's training was simple: Not die. That is why he was now running from a pack of wolves. They were able to think and sometimes catch him, but they never hurt him, they viewed it as a game since they started doing this when he was little and they were pups. They would come at him with force but he would only dodge and run. It was good training

As she left Serith felt lonely, he crawled over into an alleyway and spotted a dead man, "Hey there. . . life isn't that great huh? I guess you don't have to worry about anything anymore." He looked at the dead man, his stomach was cut open and he just laid there, sprawling on the ground.

Serith turned towards the wall and kicked the wall, some of the building broke open and he crawled inside.

Tate laid there on the road, hoping that no1 would run him over.

Tommy slaughtered the body as usual, and left it in the corner of the room where about a dozen boxes laid. The only thing she had to do, is either sell it to others, or burn it.

She left the building, and searched around for a dead body, starting in the alley.

Name: Aguni

Age: 10

Description: A young male child in clothes stained with mud, blood and tears. His clothing consists of worn cloth shirt and shorts, two items he stole and has never seen the need to replace until they break apart. Also has two very worn leather boots that are beginning to fall apart. He has dark brown hair and his eyes seem to alternate between a combination of blue, green and/or brown.

Inventory: A short sword which has become dull from use, as well as a bunch of rocks Aguni has sharpened against his blade. Also has a short metal chain (about 30 centimetres long), obviously broken from something else.

Bio: Like most children born in Shaol, Aguni has had no notion of a family nor a past he cares to remember. He is a skilled with his hands and is a natural mimic of sorts. It is incredibly easy for him to watch how something works and then preforms those exact same actions, regardless of the comprehension of what they do. This ranges from figuring out how a gun works to even impersonating peoples voices. Aguni's name comes from his obession with understanding and learning how things work. He has no qualm at killing someone who has tried to kill him and normally 'experiments' at the most effective way to disable and kill someone. Despite his outward nature of being reclusive and a loner, he does yearn to end his isolation and loneliness by finding people he can trust and open up to.



Shuddering, Aguni took another breath and leaned back against the tree, his bloodied hand shakily holding his the knife dug into his hip as he tried to block out the pain. When he had gotten into a fight with another kid on the edge of town, Aguni had thought nothing of it when she had planted a knife in his side while his had found purchase in her neck. In fact it wasn't until when he was leaving the scene and he attempted to remove the knife that he knew he was in trouble. CLearing his mind and attempting to pull again Aguni felt the skin tear and let out a cry of pain as he collapsed to the ground, feeling dizzy and sick from the pain. Looking back at the wound he noticed something spiked warped around the knife, which was now catching on his skin and making it to painful for him to remove. The wound wasn't fatal but he needed to remove the knife so it could heal. Whimpering softly, Aguni forced himself to his feet and began to walk around the edge of the forest, he knew he needed to get inside the town if he wanted to deal with this by himself, but he didn't want to head in through the main entrance when he was this vulnerable. Whimpering with each step as pain lanced through his left side, he recalled that he had heard there was a back entrance through the sewers and wondered if he would be able to find it or if someone else would find him first.

Tate just got pissed for no reason....he lost control. AGAIN.

"**** * ** *** *** ** * ** * *****HOLES!" he got up and started to charge at a pedestrian, wanting to kill her.

Nailah woke up and saw Cole wasn't there. 'He won't mind if I look around I suppose' she thought. She got down out of the treehouse and set off around the edge of the forest. She heard someone in pain suddenly from somewhere in front of her and she ran forward to investigate. She saw a dark haired kid in pain.
"Are you ok?" she asked coming over cautiously to him. He was holding a deadly looking knife and she was cautious because of this.

[Riida]

((k)) He tackled the pedestrian, making her fall but not being hurt at all. He grabbed the amethyst and punched it into her face, cutting her badly.

Aguni hadn't even realised someone had heard him until a female voice reached his ears, turning to face her he was caught between being weary of her or asking for her help. It was unlikely she was out to kill him, otherwise he'd have a knife in his back already so it was either she was being truely helpful or wanted something from him. His decision was made easier when the wound began to throb, he knew he needed to remove the knife but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Shuddering he managed to speak loud enough for her to hear without causing to much pain in his side "N-not..Really...I-I got stabbed"

Nailah walked over to him, and realised he wasn't holding a knife, but it was in fact wedged in his hip. "That.. looks painful, here let me take you back to where I am staying.. I'm sure Cole won't mind. Just...... he is part elf don't... tease him." Knowing not to touch the knife until she could bandage the wound properly she put an arm around the strange boy and let him lean his weight against her as she helped him back to Cole's treehouse. "You will have to travel with us though! So we best fix you up quick so you can walk"

Cole had finished training with the animals, he decided to head back. On his way he noticed some blood stains and came across a dead girl. Normally he wouldn't be phased by this sort of thing but this wasn't just a dead girl it was a murdered girl. He looked around and saw another blood trail, heading towards his home. He whistled and one of the wolves came up to him and the two quickly ran back to his home only to find and boy with a knife in his side and Nailah. "Get away from her!" he yelled notching his bow.

"Cole!" Nailah exclaimed "no! it's ok I found him he needs help"

"Nailah move now!" Cole said very very angrily. "You," he said to the boy, "You killed that girl back there didn't you!?" Nodding back to where he came from.

"What girl?" asked Nailah, she had not seen anyone on their way to Cole's place.

Leaning on the girls side he allowed himself to be carried along, his mind losing focus as the blood loss began to take its tole. A different voice entered the night air and Aguni knew from their voice they weren't friendly. Pushing the girl lightly to get out of the way, Aguni spotted the young boy and quickly drew his short sword, the adrenaline rush of having to fight masking the pain somewhat, but he was forced to hold back a cry as he moved into a battle stance. It was then he noticed the boy was using a bow and seemed to have what was either a very vicious dog or a wolf with him aswell. Aguni felt the blood drain from his face, even on a good day if he wasn't injured these odds would be something he ran from, but with the wound he had, he knew he had no chance. Letting the blade slip from his hand, Aguni decided to wait and see what the other the girl and the boy did.

Hearing the boys question Aguni managed to summon his voice loud enough to carry it over the distance. "She wanted to fight me and I fought her...She wasn't skilled enough to beat me and so she ended up dead...isn't that normal around here?"

"LIAR! Back in the wounds, there is a dead girl, not just a simple kill but tortured and maimed...I want to know why and you have about 10 seconds before a arrow goes through your skull."

[Ivernus]

Gritting his teeth Aguni felt an anger beginning to cloud his mind, this boy wanted to hold him responsible to the revenge he took on someone who had tried to stab him in the back? The concept made no sense to Aguni, what did make sense was a bow aimed at his skull, even if he dodged the first arrow which he believed he could, the wound in his side wouldn't allow him to escape or fight back.

"The kill was simple...what happened afterwards wasn't" trying to breath he continued "As you might have noticed...I have a dagger in my side and for some reason I can't pull it out without my side exploding in pain. Since she was dead...and she had tried to stab me in the back, I used her body to figure out what the heck she did to her dagger to make it so I can't pull it out"

Nailah wasn't sure what to do, but the boy was injured, and she didn't feel it was fair to kill anyone who was not capable of fighting. "Cole if you shoot an injured person you are no better than he!" she said to Cole.

"If he needs help he can find it elsewhere. Because what you did to that body wasn't something you could do quickly or in a fight, whether she struck first or not. Nailah lead him to the town then come back, we can head out afterwords."

[screwbaII]

"He can't go to town like this... I want to help him! We cannot know it is the same girl, and we cannot know what her fate was after she died. There are many scroungers and looters and many people who like to mutilate the dead. I gave you a chance Cole, when no one else would. Now I am asking you to give this boy a chance" Nailah replied passionately.

Managing a bloody chuckle Aguni couldnt help but wonder how someone like this girl had managed to last so long in a place like this. Trying to make friends in Shaol was just as likely to get you killed as it was to get a curt no, and it made Aguni wonder if she had some other darker side she hid from everyone else.

"Nailah the blood from both of them was fresh and her spine was ripped out! If you want to help the murderer fine but the second he can move we leave and forget him." He looked back to the wolf and made a low growl. The wolf left.

Realising what the boy said didn't match what he had done Aguni forced himself to continue speaking through the pain "Her spine was ripped out? And you still accuse me of doing that?" Aguni knew he was getting angry, he hated being accused of what he had done, let alone what he hadn't "If you know what much about a body then you should know that ripping a spine out is not somethign you can just casually do!" Pointing to his blade he had dropped earlier he continued "The only blood on that blade is the tip from where I stabbed her and...from where I tried to figure out why this blade was stuck in me. If I had tried to use a dull blade to rip out her spine, it should be splattered with blood and so should my hands and body, and hate to dissapoint you...the only blood thats on me is my own"

"I had been training all around that area and you and the girl were the only ones in it. None of the local animals could have done it, it would have been more tore. I don't know what you did but until someone else says they did that i'm pinning it one you. Now do you want our help or not?"

((Yeah kinda extreme but i couldn't think of anything else. I don't really know if you want another dark character like Malphas but that's how Cole sees you. ))

Sighing Aguni looked at his side and saw that he was still losing blood during all this conversation "...Thank you.. Nailah does as Cole says and goes inside quickly grabbing the things and coming back out, hoping Cole had no killed the boy in her absence. "What is your name anyways?" Nailah asked the boy.

Having fallen to his knees in the Girls absence, he noticed the edges of his vision growing dark, the pain from the knife had become dull and he knew that was because of the large amounts of blood he had lost.
Hearing the girl's question he considered not answering or giving a fake answer but decided against it, figuring focusing on a conversation would help him stay awake "I gave myself the name Aguni, and..I guess...Your Nailah and that other person was Cole?"

Shari sat on the edge of the chimany watching the comotion below she sillently slipped down and grabbed serith from behind and put the knife to his neck.

shari noticed she was wrong it was not serith she was holding but a boy named Aguni.

"Yea... so don't fall asleep, that's very bad" she said grabbing one of Cole's blankets she had brought out. She really had nothing else to bandage it with. She wrapped it tight around his body to stem the blood flow and then reached into her small bag of random things and pulled out some tweezers. The knife was surrounded by barbed wire and was quite deep she would have to 'operate' or so to speak on it. "Just keep talking to me Aguni, where are you from?" she asked as she began dissecting the barbs from his body. The pain would keep him awake.

"Nailah stop, i got this." Cole had the things next to him. First off he punched Aguni in the side of the head knocking him out. Then he quickly pulled out the now barbless knife. He had already crushed some of the seeds so he added some water and it became a paste which he spread over the wound. "Now put something on there to hold it and he will be better tomorrow."

Not having a chance to react, Aguni took the hit to the side of his head, the combination of the shock, bloodloss and pain finally overwhelming his exhausted body and brain as sleep claimed him

"What'd ya do that for? he may not come out of that..." replied Nailah, but helped tend to the wound anyway. "He's gonna need stitches... do you have any needle and thread? I've done this once before... on a cat..." she asked Cole.

"Yeah and i have done at least 12 times to myself, he just needs some cloth to hold down the wound and he will be fine in the morning. It's something about the rain water and seeds that form a healing agent.... for half-elves at least..."

"I think I will head in tomorrow... I'm still so tired, and helping him such a way was so tiring... I wish I were stronger" said Nailah. "Also... I'm sorry for this Cole I just can't leave people like this no matter how bad they might be"

"Okay well let's head inside and you can sleep i need to practice my ocarina."

"Is that what that thing is called?" said Nailah as she sat down next to where Cole had placed Aguni and put a blanket over him and herself. She figured her warmth would give him some strength back.

After a while of playing, Nailah soon fell asleep. Cole was happy to have a friend but it was time for him to go, he could feel it. So he filled his bag with seeds, filled a small water pouch, and carefully got the shield from the wall. The shield was slightly heavy and he couldn't use it now but it was strong and would serve him well. He played his ocarina some more and left the hut, they could use it now. As he got near the forest his wolf companion came out and walked by his side. And so the Half Elf named Cole began his journey...

Nailah stirred the next morning and opened her eyes. Cole was gone, but she kind of expected that, she had a feeling he wouldn't be staying. Somehow she knew they would meet again... someday.
She looked at Aguni, could she trust him? More importantly, could he trust her? She sat awake, waiting to see if Aguni would come to. His breathing was more normal and he had more colour in his face, so she figured he would be better today. Strong enough to go to the town and get some herbal remedies, and then they too, could leave. Just as Cole had done.

Beginning to stir himself, Aguni blinked as the sunlight peeked through the cracks in the tree house and onto his face. As he slowly opened his eyes, he tried to remember where he was, all he could remember was of last night and the events outside the town gate. He had been walking along when...he had been attacked and...there was something involving a knife in his side. Slowly sitting up he reached down and touched his side, the wound seemed to have healed although there seemed to be a faint scar. Looking around the treehouse, Aguni tried to recall what had happened after that

"Ah you're awake... how is your wound? and you're head? Cole knocked you out pretty damn hard.... but he is gone now. We have to go into town and get some stuff, and then we're leaving here forever. I'm sick of this joint. I have money for us both if you will come with me?" Nailah said all this rather fast.

Turning around Aguni saw a girl standing behind him and then remembered the rest of the events from the last night. Realising she was waiting for him to respond "I'm...alot better with that dagger out of me" he managed a weak smile "And I'd be happy to leave this place with you, god knows theres nothing here for me worth staying for"

"Really?" she said "Well, can you walk?" Nailah held out her hand for him.

Taking her hand Aguni pulled himself up and tested his left leg, it still hurt alittle to put all his weight on it but he could move around and run if he was forced to. "Yeah I should be able to walk, probably cant carry to much stuff though"

"We won't be needing much stuff" she replied. She liked the feel of his hands as she pulled him up. "Now let's get going, we just need some food and drink, although Cole has left us drink... but we will still need some food... and I have someone I want you to meet as well who I think I will take" she grinned

"Alright then" Aguni replied falling into step behind her wondering who it was she wanted him to meet. As they walked the pain in his side barely noticable but it sparked a memory in his mind "By the way...did you still have the dagger that was in my side? Im...kinda interested in knowing why it was so hard to get out"

"There was barbed wire on it, it was left in the bushed near Cole's place. We can get it on the way back", Nailah replied as they entered the town again. It was morning and the smell of rot and death had not yet begun to putrify the streets. She came to an alley and looked around, as Aguni came in behind her, and she whistled. There was a few minutes and an alley cat appeared. It was only a kitten though, but it came over to Nailah and rubbed around her legs.
"This is Kit" said Nailah picking up the kitten, "this is who I would like you to meet". She walked over to Aguni with the kitten.

Staring at the creature in Nailah's arms he tried to recall what they were called, he had never paid to much attention to creatures but he believed it was a cat, or was it kitten or were they the same? Looking at the creature and hearing its name, he figured it would mostly likely be a kitten, "So this is who you want to bring on our journey with us? It is kinda...cute I guess" Aguni ending up replying, not really sure of what else to call it. Looking around the alleyway and then back at the kitten he continued "Well any place you know we can pick up some food before we head off? I don't really need to pick up anything so im ready to go when you are"

Putting Kit down as he was rather large for an alley cat, and heavy especially for a kitten (Nailah does not yet know that Kit is a Cougar), Nailah said "yea there are always empty places to loot nowadays..."
After getting enough provisions for a few days they headed back to Cole's treehouse, and filled some stolen flasks with water, before Nailah showed Aguni where the knife was, and then they headed off.

Here is the labor MK asked of me.

Pic #1 is of a species they are fish people (Not Zoras!). They have fins on there forearms, shoulder blades, and heels. Their feet are webbed but not there hands. Their ears are pointed like elves but not as long and more fin-like. They have gills located on the bases of there necks near their shoulders. Their skin tones range from blues, greens, purples, and silvery.

Pic #2 is of the map of the rogue town: Shoal. I am trying a new way of drawing cities so if my taskmaster (MK) asks me to redo it i will.
