30 dollars? It depends on how you pay. We pay it for automatic billing, I think, and it is like only 15 bucks.

And you don't have to get the expansion packs if you don't want to. That is until level 60. Or if you want to play the two newish races. Cause they are coming out with a new one. But yeah, you don't have to get the two expansions until like level 58.

I really don't think Blizzard's games are really all that good to begin with.

It cost $15 a month, as MK said.

Considering how people still play Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft 3, taking into consideration how old these games are I think this says a little about how good Blizzard are at delivering, well, good games. Even though I think WoW is a boring and crappy game it does it's job also as a good MMORPG. I use the term 'good' for WoW loosely because I do think there are better MMORPG's out there, it's just because of Blizzard's massive fanbase from it's previous games WoW got a massive headstart on other similar type games released.

But it's a matter of opinion, I mean if you don't think Blizzard's games are good then ok, but evidence suggests popular opinion thinks otherwise. Although I agree popular opinion is not always right, i.e. Twilight, it is not always wrong either, i.e. Blizzard. If something is genuinely good of course a lot of people are going to like it. Also if it appeals to a lot of people, regardless of the quality it is also going to be liked (Twilight).

Personally I think WoW was simply a fundraiser for Blizzard, but eh. I really didn't like WoW, I played it on my brother's account because he plays it. I am probably bias because I am more an RTS gamer but I found the grinding really really really REALLY boring. And after all that grinding what do you do? Well you grind some more of course.

The fun factor of this game... wait what fun factor? It doesn't HAVE one. The game doesn't even have a point to it, which is why I think Blizzard just released it because they needed some extra cash to develop more awesome games like starcraft 2.

Yea, they are in fact bringing out a warcraft 4 or so it is rumoured, but I'm hangin out for Starcraft 2 simply coz it comes out early next year apparently :D and battle.net sounds like it has been reworked to be even better!

WC4 has been tossed around a bit. Don't know how true rumours are, but I think Blizzard will probably be considering it. They are also currently working on Diablo 3.

Well, it seems like a terrain change overall, two new races, a new area, and some class rearranging stuff. It doesn't sound very different from a normal expansion. I mean, the only difference would be the terrain but It's just their short way a making a lot of new areas, and new quests. More of the same thing. Just making the game take longer. It doesn't change the major aspects of the gameplay at all.

WoW was ok, but i couldnt pay for the prescription so i stopped playing because it wasnt worth 12 bucks a month. i prefer Diablo 2, and i cant wait for starcraft 2 and diablo 3 to come out ^.^ witch doctor=best class ever

I'm sorry but I don't think WoW is ever going to get a fun factor. It has an addiction factor because of the neverending quests and dungeons and people's desire to beat everything in the game makes them keep playing... but no fun factor...
If anything the expansions Blizzard are putting in are just slowly destroying it. Mass Death Knight anyone? The only reason they keep bringing out lame expansions is so people who used to play it but quit because they had done everything come back for another round of paying Blizzard more money for their fundraising scheme. Yes I'm onto you Blizzard, I know what you are up to D:<

There is just one thing wrong with your argument... apart from the fact you're acting like I don't know crap about WoW when I actually knew this fact and still stated it mass death knights...
This is expansion pack number 2... right?
Therefore most of the people who play WoW already have several characters definitely OVER lvl 55, e.g. my brother who kept his paladin, but changed several 2 or 3 of his others to death knight.
As you go on over the years less people join the community, therefore less new players THEREFORE less people who are newbs that are < lvl 55
Those who have played WoW before and know how to power level can easily get to lvl 55 in next to no time at all... e.g. my brother who can get to lvl 80 pretty damn fast (I don't time him because I don't live at home but I watched him power levelling once and it can be done rather fast).
Therefore MASS DEATH KNIGHTS!!!
I would just like to add, my brother is a WoW nerd, so I know a lot about WoW from listening to him go on about it, and watching him, and from playing myself. It's just ... so.... boring.......

Though hopefully Aion and The Old Republic, new MMORPGs soon to come will actually have a fun factor. It's going to go like this, WoW One of the first life consuming mmorpgs. Game developers look at it and see what WoW did wrong, and create their own, much better, actually fun, MMORPG.
