Gah,I've always been thinking Silent Hill or Resident Evil wich is better?
Well,Resident evil games are fun to play with some random pop outs that might scare you,It also has some sad momments,drama,action but,one failure I think.This was In Resident evil four(If played you can guess It)Yes,Ashley the annoying girl.Well,In Silent Hill,Great story plot,action,drama and sad momments,as well.Like Maria's death in two....Or Harry Masons death.Both games are good,and has alot of games for the series.But,SIlent Hill has good audio,and Resident Evil has great audio,too but,Not as good as Silent Hill.Resident Evil failed a bit by not making Resident evil fives story plot as good as the others... Jill as a blonde she marries wesker.But,For both games I love them.I have no idea what one Is better.So,I wanted to know If you plyed the games,and what one do you think of series is better.

Anyway, I've only played the Silent Hill series, and...I like it. Thus my decision is completely biased.

From what it looks like though, Silent Hill is more like a puzzle game and not an action game like RE. If you like action, you might like RE more.

It's hard to kind of compare the two.

They both have their 'jump' scene moments. Such as when Heather Mason walk down a random hallway and a hanged dead guy falls from the ceiling all of a sudden. Or when Henry Townshed walks into a room with a random huge scary face covering a hole wall. And such as when Harry Mason is in a locker room, and it seems that a corpse fell out of a locker behind him.

...yeah, I can't say much.

In most cases it's movies > games, just like in most cases it's books > movies. I'm interested to see how prince of persia fares as a movie ported from a game though. The sands of time was a good game, and the movie looks pretty good as well (also has that guy from day after tomorrow in it as the main character and he is like <3 ) lol.

For me, this is Game>Movies because Silent Hill and Resident Evil games were made before the movie.

For some reason, I prefer the original by default. Kind of mean of me, I suppose.


But yeah, if it was the movie that came out first than the game... then the movie would be better.

Yeah, the trailer for Prince of Persia looks promising. Funny though, no matter how it will turn out, it'll surely be better than the very first Prince of Persia game, lol. ;)

As for the original question, I voted 'Same' on the poll. They both get the job done about being 'scary', but I'm not too keen on the shallow jump-at-you scare tactics, pre-rendered posterlike backgrounds (RE), bad camera and controls.

I found Eternal Darkness much more exceptional in this genre.

None of the movies based off of games has ever been good so far, same with the games based off of movies, and to say otherwise just proves that you need to be eaten by a grue.

The Silent Hill movie Is FTW. They actually made the Silent Hill two's both in the end of the first one. But, I wonder If it will harm the 2nd movie...

I kinda want to watch it, but then I didn't.

Because... for one, wth is Pyramid head doing there.
He's a figment of imagination of a completely different character in SH2.
PH is pretty important because he symbolizes a personality of James Sunderland.
Yet PH's been thown into SH1's storyline for some reason, and...
w-wut? He rips off some random chick's skin like a blanket instead of raping her.

...I mean... ...ok...
Alyssa's not that evil either... she's also tortured herself by her own mom.
I don't remember her being like that in the game... (btw, game was made before the movie)

Yet everyone says that it's super awesome..
but I just don't know.

I'm still confused as to why he's even IN Silent Hill 1's storyline. Oh my god.
So from what I've heard, he's involved in a ritual?
Nooooo, in the game, he symbolizes Jame's hate for his wife. Not this ritual crap. ;__;

Anyway. I don't remember Alyssa torturing anyone at the end.. her mother was trying to ressurrect a God in her, and she gets pissed off, but that's as close as it gets.

Well, at least I know that SH1 game and movie are completely different worlds.

SH movie was reallah horrible at the ending, especially since ph showed up, but still many people view it (probably they haven't played the games though)

And yeah...I thought his existance was horrible.
The only thing he kills (in the game) is... this prostitute three times, and a couple undead. He's pretty harmless. LOL.

But...actually, I saw a lot of good reviews for it.
I mean.. even though it's nothing like the game..
Still looks horrible.

Well, one thing I didn't like about THAT is that...
he killed her for no reason?
Even though it was disgusting (well, skinning people is always disgusting), it didn't leave much of an impact.
It's one of those "Oh lol, ew, sad, fail" scenes.

PH in SH2 was more epic. xD

But Alyssa should've taken revenge off her mom because she's the one who's actually responsible. And it should've been some random demon. Not Pyramid Head.
